Those who know me, know I love Monster High dolls. It’s kind of an obsession.
Recently, they released a Gozer doll! As you can imagine, I was beyond excited. I mean, Gozer and Monster High! This was my doll!
So, in celebration of her, I made her a friend. Stay Puft!
I started with a Hocus Pocus Mary doll. Yes, I know, she is a collector, but I needed the thicker body. It is Stay Puft after all.
I cut off all the hair, wiped her face clean, and painted the top of her head white and rerooted her with white hair. Rerooting takes forever. This was about 8 hours’ worth of time.
I painted her body white as well. Many, many coats of paint and Mr Super Clean to seal her.
I used a modified pattern from raddollclothes for her outfit. I had to print the pattern 20% bigger (I had to guess at this, and it worked perfectly) and alter the collar for the sailor outfit.
I got a Barbie barrette, painted it white and blue, and added a ribbon with a pin and a bead. I also got an old Ghostbusters toy and turned it into her purse.
Painting her face was the hardest part. I am not skilled at face-ups, but I keep trying. The base doll had a smirk, so I gave one to this doll too. I even gave her a little fire using a glue gun and alcohol markers! I tried to make her hands look like they were toasted, but it didn’t really come out right. I may try again with darker brown.

Love it! You did great! I love the Gozer doll more with Stay Puft next to them. I feel like they needed it. I wish I could buy the skullectors I want but the ones I want are always gone immediately.
Absolutely flawless! All the love and time really shows and she’s perfect. My daughter said she’s 1000 times better than the official Ghostbusters MH doll and wishes Mattel had released your design.
@tapestry - That is so sweet! I like the Gozer doll. I know a lot of people didn’t, though. @RagingSloth - You have to click the button right at selling time. One minute off and you can miss some dolls. Its crazy! But they are getting better. I think they are making more dolls. Best of Luck! And thank you for your comment!

Yeah, Cass didn’t care for the Gozer doll. I think her last Skullector we bought was River Styx. Ironically, I’ll be at SDCC this year and this is the one year Cass doesn’t want the SDCC doll.
