I got the two panels done and can now start constructing my crossbody bag. The flower print is the lining fabric I found in my stash.

Beautiful embroidery…I can’t wait to see the finished bag!

Thanks! I am pretty tired of carrying around my phone in my pants pocket or big puffy bag! I hope to get it done this weekend!

This is gorgeous stitch work, Linda! I agree, I can’t wait to see your bag!

Same pattern but in black and white…yeah…another crossbody to be made.

I must be in a stitching mood…well, I go in cycles, so best to take advantage of this mood while it lasts!

The original pattern was intended for a bookmark, but I want to make something else with it. I added the border and fringed it. I also changed the design a bit (translation: I always seem to lose count somewhere so I have to add or subtract a few stitches here and there!). I also used yellow thread for the smile and belly since white blended into the background too much.

I’ll do a separate post once I make what I am going to make.

Taking a break from fall/Halloween stitching to do some Christmas stitching as well:

I found a cool round wooden thing that I am going to use as a frame. I need to paint it first…maybe add some pink glitter…not sure yet, but at least the stitching is done!

oops…I see one stitch I missed! ha

You’ve been working hard recently @AIMR ! All the recently finishes have been yours. I love the idea of pink glitter Christmas pelicans.

This was my summer stitch, I just finished it today. I started this in April or May, when I was looking forward to a week at the seaside in late May / early June. For some reason I thought this would be a relatively quick stitch… don’t know why I thought that, I cut off a large piece of fabric for it. It took all summer, I stitched by the seaside, I stitched at home, I stitched in the hospital and today it was done. It’s different from what I normally pick but it’s been fun to stitch.

I think it’s the big, bold elements that make it look like a quick stitch…but when I zoom in I can see the colour variations. This is a beautiful finish!

Ooo! Very nice! I like it a lot!

It sure looks like a painting! The colors and composition of that one is very complex looking!

I have been doing a lot of little pieces just to feel a sense of accomplishment!

I am going to start a large piece and place it in a tote bag so I can work on it a bit at a time so I don’t get overwhelmed!

Oh I like him! Is the fabric tea-died?

I usually keep big projects in a seperate bag, to keep all the supplies together. I like it when a big pattern breaks up in little pieces, like this one, or a sampler. There are little finishes in between.
