STS (Shop the Swap) 2024 Fall Market Discussion

This will be going into the STS. They’re not finished but I was too excited not to share.
The patterned felt is stiffer then the felt I usually work with. I’m still happy with them so far.
Probably Fannie and Fran for names btw.

I’m also toying with the idea of doing a custom frog option. Would anyone be interested in that? I can also make more colors to add to the shop as well.

I’m alsoooo going to make art supply grab bags. (Sandwich bag sized) Filled with mostly paper, and images cut from magazines, comics, and etc. will also include a random button and a lapel pin. Any interest?

Okay, I need to start planning what I’m going to have in my shop, but it will most likely be small/miniature pottery pieces, and possibly some woven bands?

Just a few examples of some mini wheel-thrown vases. (Perfect for dollhouses, or for collecting found cat whiskers!)

And some handwoven bands that can be tie-belts or headbands by themselves, or used as handles, etc. for other crafty projects:

I might also weave some fun shoelaces too, but don’t have any on hand at the moment.

Hopefully these are things that some people might be interested in?

Those tiny pots are too cute! I bet @bunny1kenobi will be first in line to snag some. I bet they’d be perfect for holding hedgehog quills and my boys do shed quite a few. The bands are lovely as well!

I love the tiny pots! I have a tin with found whiskers - a tiny pot would look much nicer.

Y’all. I’ve been making a few things for STS, but I hadn’t heard anything in the swap thread and was worried maybe we wouldn’t be doing it and then I found this thread.

I’m definitely interested! Currently working on crochet items, but plan to do some sewing too once it’s not so hot in my spare room.

I looked at dates and checked the swap from last year. I have a note that says to make the last week of October the over/under week, but I moved it up a little for this year.

signups September 3rd
signups close September 17
over/under week is October 15-22
last day possible after over/under week is October 29

Don’t forget, you can add more to your shop during the swap. You just need to have the minimum number of items to initially open it.

This is what I plan to do. I’m trying to make enough items to open a shop and then plan to add to it. That’s my favorite part about this swap!
