STS (Shop the Swap) 2024 Fall Market Discussion

I’ll be listing fudge tomorrow. There will be 2 one-pound orders available.

The flavor is chocolate orange this week. I’m going to try to list two orders of fudge per week (on Sundays) for the remainder of the swap so there’ll be other flavors coming soon and everyone who wants fudge should have a chance to get some. Rolo caramel fudge will be next week’s flavor.

I want to respond to this too… Not sure what items you are thinking of pulling. But… in your case, there are seveal pieces I still want, but I try to not go crazy in one shop at once so others can snag too. But … if things I love are still around later I figure that others have had a shot and I will grab them then. There are still a few pieces I want in your shop but I also try and send points into other shops too

Same. Everyone has something I like!

I added more items to my shop.

Also, I have some cabochons that I added a magnet to the back of them for myself…would anyone be interested in a mix n match thing like that? I was thinking six or eight for 1pt. They’re wee, but a half inch circular magnet fits them fine.

Sorry my brain is short circuiting, do you have a pic?

This is what I have at the moment, but I think I ordered more. And there’s some on the stairway to come up to my craft room. They’re just so cute, but I dunno if anyone else is into “cute”

If not, I’ll put the extras into geocaches.

I’m into cute, but not sure what I would use these for.

I’m really happy with how the fudge turned out. It’s not over-sweet and has a nice hint of orange without being overpowering.

I added a couple of things to my shop and reduced points on some other stuff.

I love them and know right where I would use some, but can’t guarantee I’ll get enough points to claim some. Sewing takes a sneaky amount of walking, so my knee is really sandbagging my ability to restock my shop the way I wanted.

I always thought of it as driving. Do you have a treadle?
Oh, do you mean walking around to iron and cut and pin, etc?

Yup, the second part. Even with batch sewing, patchwork in particular requires a decent amount of back and forth to the iron and cutting table.

I usually set up the sewing machine in the dining room because the light is better, but there is no room for the ironing board so I set that up in the spare room. And even with a small duplex, it’s exhausting walking back and forth, back and forth, back and forth. By the end of the day my feet hurt!

I’m sorry about your knee.

This is beautiful! I love it so much!

We recently lost my little old tuxedo kitty, too, and I’m still trying to figure out the best way to memorialize. A little shadow box is a great idea!

I was thinking mostly of taking down the random pendants I added at the end, but I am also fine with just leaving everything up, no problem!

Also, I have a few new pottery things. Most are for fall markets but I might be able to add a few here. And I think I’ll post some more woven bands soon too!

Yay!
I’m so glad the post office didn’t squish them too much:)
First time I’ve made a purple one and it’s cute!
Also, I’m so happy that I managed to mail it the day before the hurricane hit, bec things in my town have been topsy-turvy (figuratively) since the wee hours of Fri morning.
Update:
Our home is ok, but living with no electricity, internet, OR cell service is very difficult and disconcerting!
I’m hoping I’ll get back in the swing of things in STS by Friday, since I’m still out of town. :scream:
My brain is spinning ~
