Watercolor & embroidery hoopla - summer in Germany

For the summer in Europe swap we decided that each partner would create a small item that represents summer in their country. I took the chance to make a beach scene embroidered over a watercolor background. Something I wanted to try for a long time. [IMG_8285] What you see here is a Strandkorb, a type of beach chair that crowds every German beach from April to October and is mostly unknown outside of Germany.
