Here’s a large scale acrylic painting I made for my daughter
She asked for a sunrise paining for her room. Then she got more specific and asked for sunrise with a ballet dancer.
Well, I absolutely didn’t feel like painting a ballet dancer and couldn’t come up with a scenery to include one.
But a while ago I bookmarked this tutorial , because my daughter likes pigs
For the background I loosely followed this video and then somehow made up the field. And added a small version of the piggy to the corner.
I’m going to hang it this weekend when my daughter is with her dad. I hope she likes it after all.

Way cuter than a ballet dancer would have been! I like how the flowers at the bottom echo the colours in the sunrise.

@gozer , @Bunny1kenobi here’s a close up of the piglet:
I wasn’t able to capture it, but it glitters a bit. One of the paints I used for mixing this color was a metallic paint from an old project.

@AIMR Thank you! I really hope so. Maybe I should tell her her plush piggy wanted to be in the picture. At 9 yo she sure doesn’t believe that, but piggy still has to join her at every sleepover.

My daughter loves it and my son immediately reminded me that he asked for a painting, too.

Thank you! The pig is also my favorite.
Last night my daughter said, she feels a bit sorry for piggy, because she is all alone on this large field. I told her piggy is not alone just more courageous than the other piglets that stand behind her and don’t peek around the corner.
