It looks great! And, YAY! for having enough yarn.

No picture update: Realized I had 25ish stitches too many on my 2nd sleeve after knitting about halfway…I frogged and have restarted bigsigh

It’s done!

The gap from the yoke to where the stripes start is bothering me though…I am considering cutting just above the arm join to redo the yoke with stripes all the way up.

Otherwise, it wears like a dream :purple_heart: It’s all malabrigo and it’s so so soft and drapey.

It looks so good! If it wears like a dream cutting it might change things, could you do something with some double knitting instead? Adding an embellishment or something to break up the field of gray if it really bothers you?

I love it just the way it is!

Rios?

I’ve made some decent progress on my cardigan. Only the sleeves are left to knit, and they’ll be short-ish. I have 63g of yarn left.

Thank you! I love i-cord edges. It took me all day yesterday to do it. Totally worth it.

Thanks @AIMR for pointing me towards this -along!

I restarted my Whatever sweater and am so glad I did - I think solid ribbing will look really nice with the marled body. Should be able to make some good progress after work this week- tonight’s D&D night and I’m going to an IRL maker meetup tomorrow night.

I love the Whatever pattern! It’s more of a recipe, but I’ve made a bunch of different sweaters using that base pattern to start with.

So, it’s been about 9 months, and I’m still inching along on my first sweater. Took it to the other side of the world, worked on it in many waiting rooms, on trains and at other peoples’ houses. Watched a ton of videos and read a lot. I now have 2 sleeves and a body, and a question.
I’m pretty much winging it, not following a specific pattern. Is there a rule of thumb about how much to leave on hold for the underarm when joining the body and sleeves?

It’s been a hot minute since I posted here. I started and finished another basic raglan sweater for a work friend. It was mindless, and a bit of a slog at the end, but now after taking a bit of rest, I’m excited to cast on something new!

It’s really cute, @sheepBlue! What’s the next sweater you’re tackling?

I’m going to knit a copy of Clark Griswold’s cardigan from Christmas Vacation for my DH. It’s his favorite Christmas movie. Swatching now…

I always notice the knitted/crocheted things in movies. Can’t wait to see your version!

My husband wants the sweater from the Big Lebowski! He’ll have to buy that one…

The Dude’s sweater is pretty epic. The Pattern is available, if you enjoy colorwork and steeking. I also had to tell my DH that that wasn’t happening. But, he’s content to have the Big Lebowski’s rug and the Dude sitting on the back bar.

I’m a couple hundred yards into DH’s cardigan.
