Love it!! Very cool effect.
Have you guys seen the KAL for a cardi from hobbii?
No! How awesome!
The next project in my queue is pretty much the same thing, otherwise I’d be really tempted. I’m using the Cottage pattern and Hobbii Evergreen organic wool (discontinued).
Ooo! Fun!!
The black/dark scraps are almost all gone! And this tank is done ![]()
The pattern (Tip Top Tank Fine) is pretty simple, similar to the Streamline tank without the details. You can see the subtle striping of the different shades of black too.
Awesome!! I love the subtle stripes. I neeeed a new knitting project!
I’m trying to work up the courage to try Look at my Holes next…
Oh! That’s a fun one!!
That turned out fabulous!
I need to weave in the ends on my red cardigan, so, of course I cast on a new project instead. It’s the Basic V-neck Pullover by Cleome Smith, but I’m going to make it a cropped cardigan with shorter sleeves. I was going to knit the Cottage Cardigan, but I didn’t like the gauge with the yarn I had in my stash.
I’m almost 50g in, about 55 rows. I really like this yarn and am regretting not buying more before it was discontinued. It’s Hobbii Evergreen, a fingering weight, organic wool.
The cardi looks great so far!
I started on another stashbuster sweater - basic raglan with stripes that start after the sleeve-split.
I tried a more interesting pattern first (Sorrel from Wool and Pine) but it was getting lost in the speckles, so basic sweater it is. After this I think I’m going to take a break from sweaters and knit up a shawl or something to keep working on stash. I have an idea of the next sweater from stash but it’s worsted weight so I’ll probably enjoy picking that up in the fall, moreso than now (90F+ today gross)
That speckled yarn is so pretty!
We went to my niece’s graduation party today in this heat…gross is a good word. Got home to no power and no AC.
I love that yarn!
I picked out a pattern to make another cardigan but I don’t have enough of anything in my stash to make it! The pattern is pretty intense so it will be solid yarn…which I have about 20 skeins, but all of different colors!
Thanks, I love the yarn too ![]()
Would it be weird to make the cardi in all the different colors? Scrap cardi? Or would the pattern get lost in the profusion of colors?
It has cables along the front and sleeves but it is reversible so the cables turn into a popcorn stitch on the other side. (It’s crochet, not knit) I need/want a bright red cardigan so I have been eyeing this gorgeous hand dyed yarn, but seven skeins is a bit pricey now.
Ooh yeah, hand-dyed yarn is always so delicious but expensive >.< The pattern sounds really cool!
Ooo! I like this pattern. Classic. A cardigan version will be nice, too. And that yarn is gorgeous.
@sheepBlue - I love those purple stripes!!
