Yes! I have some. I will give it a try on when I’m further along. Currently feeling like I might want to go up a size…my current favorite sweater has a lot of extra room in the torso. But then, that’s the style now. Maybe a slimmer fit will be more timeless.
I decided to go up a size. I’d rather err on the side of more ease than less. Ribbing done again…back where I started. ![]()
I love this colour so much
I definitely agree, I’d rather there be too much room than not enough. I know myself, and if it fits too tightly, I just won’t wear it. I agree with @CoffeeBeans, that yarn color is gorgeous!
You also have the benefit of it being a top-down sweater that you can try on as you go. That color is really gorgeous.
I knit a couple inches on my cardi. I keep switching between it and a hat. Those long purl rows are really getting to me, for some reason. Maybe it’s just the weight of the thing - it’s a bit unwieldy.
It’s actually bottom up. I might still try to try it on here and there, but I’m feeling much better about this sizing so far. ![]()
It’s nice to be able to switch between projects when you need a change!
Lol, I thought it was just a wide neck. It’s hard to judge size in pictures sometimes. ![]()
Well, I’m feeling better about thinking it was feeling small!!! ![]()
To all the people who routinely knit fingering weight sweaters…why? how? This is taking forever. This will be a lesson in patience, I can tell ![]()
It’s the lightweight fabric. As much as I love my bulky wool sweaters, sometimes they’re just too warm for indoors. But, yeah they take forever. My cotton sweater took three months.
Here’s my cardi status. Don’t worry, I cast on this summer, I’m not very quick…
The weird flaps are going to become pockets once I knit a bit more of the body. I want a couple more rows before sewing it all in place.
Oooh, I love the color combo!
My first dropped stitches in this sweater came with a series of inappropriate for daytime television words…
But, once I regained my patience, all was well again…
I’m getting about two rounds knit every evening after work. Unless this happens, then all I manage is making it right again before I need a break.
AH! Nice save.
I am working furiously to reach 10 inches before my next class tonight (about 1.5 inches to go). I want to start the sleeves with the teacher’s guidance!
I’m rooting for you!!
@MamaRhi Yikes! The worst thing in the world is to drop stitches on anything besides stockinette LOL. Brilliant save.
@Abbeeroad You can do it!
I am so sick of the unending rows of fingering stockinette. I did it to myself. Only 2 more repeats to go (9 rounds each - still on the yoke so she’s getting big)…
Excellent goal hitting!
Yay! You got this!
Looking good!
