I am not pleased with how a portion of my project came out, but last night at bedtime I had an idea to make it better! Luckily, I don’t have to undo what I have done, just flip something over! And I think that I can have what I need for this “change order” in stash. I am up early, so I can do some work before I head into town on bi-weekly errands and hopefully it will be ready to move to the next step when I return.

Several months ago, I purchased some hot pink yarn (5 balls in the bag) with plans to make my grand daughter a hat, then decided I needed one too and this challenge gave me the push to finally finish myself one.

It’s funny that I, along with everyone else here, totally understood what you wrote Non-crafters would be baffled.

My dad and I share bird watching in common, several years ago I read an article about birders and how they talk to each other when looking for birds. It was hilarious because it’s exactly how we talk.

Beachcomber Bracelet - Take a Bite 2022 Challenge Entry

When I saw this challenge posted, I originally went in one direction, but time constraints made me reconsider. There was still a bit of memory wire in my bead supplies and more beads than I’ll ever use up. There was also a broken string of tiny shells that I hadn’t gotten around to repairing. I sorted through my beads to find gemstones, pearls, bits of shell, and glass…things that look like they could have been picked up by an ardent beachcomber or an enthusiastic corvid. Seashell and Flotsam Assemblage - Take a Bite 2022 Challenge Entry

I made this assemblage art canvas for the Take a Bite Out of Your Stash challenge I had a container of seashells that have been in the closet for years. And added in some random bits and treasures. Instead of my normal black I painted the whole thing in white. Added some texture with heavy gesso and then dry brushed with pink and teal paints and then went over the whole thing with iridescent medium. Welp Kelp, I failed! I flailed and recouperated a couple-few times, damaged some of the finished steps, and have decided to call it. Perhaps I will have another go at another time. Perhaps I will set it aflame while shrieking ancient curses into the sky.

Drinking Horn Holder Take a Bite 2022 Challenge Entry

So I decided to work on some items for ren faire early this year. And this was the only one I actually completed I ended up having some time off this past week and on Friday I started on this holder for my drinking horn. Staying inside in the AC -Take a Bite 2022 Challenge Entry

@gozer gave me a miniature room box kit for Christmas a couple years ago. I’ve worked on it quite a lot fairly recently. Today I finished up a piece I started last week. I had previously made the table, hat boxes and vase of flowers.
