The Elf Meets The Cat

I made this naughty kitty for @gozer as part of the ongoing ornament swap.

The teeeeny tiny elf was a challenge. I tried to make a cloth body to start with but I couldn’t quite manage it and went with polymer clay instead. The cat was made with air dry paper clay to try to keep it light. However, it was still fairly heavy so my little ornament turned into a shelf decoration instead. Both the elf and cat were painted with acrylics.

What a clever idea. You did a great job bringing it to life! The proud cat expression makes me smile.

I did a little squeal when I opened it. I love it so much. As an added bonus, the cat looks like a tortie, and I have two, so that was added perfection. Yep, this is going up! Thank you so much Tapestry!!!

Creepy cute! This is such a good way to fit your theme of naughty Christmas creatures. Your clay sculpture skills are really good…you capture quite a lot of detail and realism!
