The Floof Book Box

I made this book box for the Book swap last year. I know @kittykill loves her fur babies so I wanted to include them in the project.

My neighbor got a GlowForge and said she would cut things for me, so I got this pattern & wood, and she did her magic. I put it together, sanded it, painted, and sealed it. I also created the cover in Photoshop.

I like the way it opens from the back instead of opening like a book. It seemed unique. I tried to paint the sides so they looked l like the paper from a book.

Sorry for so many pictures. It was hard to get it photographed correctly. Thanks for checking it out!

Awwwww, yeah! I love that it’s a drawer instead of a flip-lid box.

This is such a thoughtful project! @kittykill definitely loves her doggos.

The detail you put into making the sides look like pages is chef’s kiss

What a great idea, and an item I’m sure the recipient will treasure forever. I love the “spine” of the box, and how the sides really do look like pages.
