I’ve had several free days this week where I haven’t been able to sub (not needed or not available) which has given me plenty of time to craft!

Right now I’m preparing the last pieces of my quilt so I can sew them together quickly.

14/29 … today is our travel day as we head across Canada to visit our grand babies (and their parents) Hubby has my shawl project tucked into his backpack  I almost did an entire row on the first flight …

The cat has been caught! It was really nervous so needed to be crafty to get it :joy_cat:

Started on flower embellishments for my jumper. Got 2 crocheted, another started. Just need to make up now.

It looks like everyone has been having a lot of fun so far this month! The last few days have been less crafting and more cooking and looking at craft magazines XD But I did a little sewing today since I had the day off of work.

I made this cute like tote/shopping bag from one of the magazines I looked in! (said magazine is from a good 8 years ago as well). The little pouch is it’s holding case that has a slip so it stays on your purse. I also got to make some bias binding which isn’t something I ever really make. But I’m very happy with how it came out!

Made myself some muffins for Valentine’s Day. (Just for the record, a lot of these will go in the freezer.)

Last night I traced out a design to go on a canvas, and today I made enchilada bowls. No pictures of the food, as it was portioned out and went right into the fridge! Lol.

Today I posted a new topic (not a FO but still), and, erm, crumpled up a paper bag. I was going to do the faux leather thing but I kept doubting I was doing it right, so it’s just sitting there now. Paint/ink first, or glue it down first? Should I use a brush or a sponge? Or splurge on a distress ink pad? I’ll seek out those answers tomorrow. What is really hanging me up, though, is what kind of miniature container is best for the cards I made (hence the faux leather experiment).
The good news is it’s a long weekend, and my plans to go to work tomorrow won’t be happening, so there is a good amount of stash-based crafty time coming!

@AIMR, I LOVE IT! The colors and everything are perfect! What is on the brown fabric that is bordering the embroidery in the middle?

Thanks! It is two scraps of wood print fabric. I had to piece together two different prints to make the “frame”.

My thing for today is a crocheted drawstring basket for one of the miniature angel-card decks I made.

it reminds me too much of those foot bags people used to kick around in a group, though, so I’m going to try out some different options for cases before calling it a finished project.

Aside from (boring daily) rows on sweater/blanket projects today i also made these giant yarn poms for sensory play/motor skill fun. Word to the wise(er than me): do not use bernat blanket yarn for this. It is lovely and fluffy, but magic always comes with a price and the cost here is the unbelievable amount of fluff bits that are shed as it is moved about. Guys, it’s like when glitter attacks. Except fluffy. It’s in her hair, up her nose, in the dog’s fur… these may be outside-only puffs. I’m honestly considering hitting them with some hair spray to see if it helps…

But, she loves them so… win? Lol

I love the mini crochet bag…so cute…I think the drawstring with beads would clearly differentiate it from those sacky balls!

Giant pom poms definitely are a win! lol…sorry about the fluff…I think you would get that with most any yarn…it will go away (eventually)…

@calluna, the mini crocheted bag is adorable.

@AntBee, I’m so sorry luv. I feel your pain on the fluff attack. May the hoover be ever in your favor.

What’s life without a little mess, right? I’m thinking of it like confetti. It’s a yarn party!

I love the miniature angel-card deck. I have been planning to make a miniature tarot deck for some time now and having seen how cute theses are, I may have to start it

I finished the quilt top! @edel, check it out!

Now, to take it to my LQS to be quilted! I wonder if she has a sports (football?) pattern?

My husband actually gave feedback besides (nice job). He really likes the pattern (as do I–same one as Edel’s green quilt) and we talked about making one for our bedroom.

Once it’s quilted and bound, I’ll make an official post.
