Ticking & Tree Thanks You Notecards

I tend to make thank you cards about this time of year to get me through the coming year. The last few years they have been kind of elaborate die cut versions, but having just made my holiday thank yous and Vivienne’s, I went a little simpler.

I used either sage green or plum purple to stamp the ticking stripes, then black for the tree. Yahoo for a stamp platform! The green got a silver heat embossed “Thanks!”

The purple got a brass version.

I love the slight bit of texture that the heat embossing gave these - it was hard for me to be satisfied with such a flat card after all the die-cut and 3D ones I’ve made over the last couple of years! I also enjoy the little bit of shine.

The inside has another stamped sentiment, this time in black.

And the back has a little HAND MADE stamp, too.

I had a lot of fun doing these and I hope I remember that and do more with my stamp stash and my stamping platform. BONUS: these will be so much cheaper to mail than the lumpy ones!
