Yup, we’re the kind of dog-people whose dog “writes thank you notes” for presents. I used the very last of the store bought dog cards several weeks ago, so I made some simple ones using dog-themed card stock and envelopes from stash.
They just have one die cut, the “THANK YOU SO MUCH” from a Tim Holtz/Sizzix Bold Type set. For some of the prints, I left of the “SO MUCH” for scale reasons. I used plain white cardstock to make the card blanks myself to fit envelopes from stash; A1-ish in size.
For the green and brown ones I left the circle out of the “O” in “YOU” to show off the print.
I tried to use scraps of the various dog-themed prints for the sentiment die cuts. Sometimes I decided to put a solid behind them. I received a Crop-o-dile corner cutter for Christmas, so I put that to use on the card corners which felt like a cute little extra detail. It also makes these easier to fit into their envelopes which I had picked up years ago on clearance at an indie art/craft supply store and have been picking away at since.
These 10 cards ought to last a few years!
