Use it or lose it! A sharing and caring gift-along

I’ve gone through my small, but mighty stash and here is what I found that might work although the tie dye one might be too bright, but there is variation of color so I could cut a square in the more blue section.

@AIMR - I have a small amount of this wonderful crane fabric. Would this work as a “red” for your quilt or is there too much white in it?

I went through my fabric stash and was able to find a few red/black/white for AIMR which I mailed off on Tues.

My blue/green fabric bin is the biggest and most stuffed of all, but I had no blue prints at all in the right tones for MistressJennie’s quilt! Maybe in flannel I had one or two. I was shocked. And in grey, just canvas or upholstery or flannel. How can that be?

The tie dye doesn’t quite fit the ghost quilt plan (although it’s beautiful!). But I’d love some squares of the other prints! I’ll send my address.

Thank you!

That’s a gorgeous print! I could use it!

@AIMR , you never said… Are you looking for just primary shades of red? Or are you looking for various shades like brick, burgundy, etc?

So far, I have only collected primary red prints. But it depends…if the red is mixed in a mostly white or black background and still reads “red” it is fine…but if it is the predominate color, primary red is what I am looking for. Same with white…it can be off white if the background color is black or red…

Thanks! I told my husband that now I feel like I can really get going on my forever wip quilt…I know I need over 290 pieces not to repeat, but, I can probably reduce the size and use what I have!

Hey—anybody who is sending me fabric…if there is something you need or would like, let me know…I probably have it! I will be listing items here as soon as I get everything unpacked and put away, but if it is something specific, I probably can find the box (I labeled all of my crafting boxes!)…thanks!

OH GREAT! @irid3sc3nt I think I accidentally sent the duct tape to Amazon returns! I was using their packing envelope to mail to you but I think I then used the same envelope to return an under cabinet light! Both were round…I am still looking to see if I have it somewhere else, but, I think Amazon just got some tie dye duct tape…

NEVERMIND…it was under my paperwork…I am so sorry…I am packing it up now!

I could use a small 4x5" piece of flannel if you have it. I’ll be using it to needle felt on so it can be hideous. Definitely not the good stuff!

I definitely have that! I have tons of white as well as prints…do you have a preference?

It’s going to be stabbed with a thousand needles so anything you won’t use or miss is good. Thank you so much!

@aimr @MistressJennie - I don’t “need” anything, lol, but I do have some projects that I could use small amounts of dk or light weight cotton yarns, especially in browns or black. I could also use small amounts of metallic yarns in weights 2-4 (for crocheting little stars on the tops of my little crocheted xmas trees.)

These projects have no time frame so don’t spend time digging through your stuff, but if you do come across some feel free to send my way. If you previously have my address in Portland, I’m still there! (14 years!!) If you need it, please PM me. Thanks so much you guys!

I still haven’t gone through my stuff yet, but I have stuff and plan to add soon or when it’s cooler in the spare room.

Are you still in the market? I might have some stashed fabrics that fit the bill.

Hi Jenn -
I am new to Lettuce Craft so I hope I am not doing anything wrong as I respond here, but I noticed you’re in Dallas. I’m from Austin and I see you mentioned mosaic glass. If you are ever in Austin, check out Austin Creative Reuse! I am a core volunteer there and we have lots of mosaic glass!! It’s like a thrift store, so you never know what you’re going to find, but that is one thing that is usually there. You can also call the store before coming and ask if there’s any there.
And, if you are looking to get rid of your paper and/or other crafty stuff and want it to go to a good home, you can schedule an appointment and bring it in.
ACR is like a wonderland of low-cost, secondhand craft supplies!!! I think it’s the real “Happiest Place on Earth!”

Hello! I am fairly new to LC so bear with me if I’m doing something incorrectly! Has anyone claimed the stethoscope fabric? I’ve been looking for the “right” fabric to make a bag for my longtime doctor, and that is perfect! I will ofc pay shipping. I’m in Austin, TX.
ETA: And if you still have the books “Fleecie Dolls” and “Stitch Love”, I’d love those as well! I’ve actually been searching for the Fleece Dolls book!
Thank you so much!
