Use it or lose it! A sharing and caring gift-along

Hi and welcome! I went to UT Austin so have fond memories of the city. ACR sounds amazing and I wish we had something similar in Dallas. I’ll definitely check it out next time I’m in Austin. Thank you so much for the tip!

I hope you enjoy LC and find a crafty home here! It’s a wonderful community.

I donated the remaining fabric today - I’ll update my posts.

But yes, I can send the books out. Message me with your address and I’ll let you know the shipping after I send. They’ll go out Monday.

Any of these?

I see this one got buried in the above photo.

@AIMR and @MistressJennie, if you’re still looking for fabrics toward your recent requests, I have these that I thought may work. (But no pressure!)

For Linda’s red/white

For Jennie’s ghost quilt. The blue is a little less faded-looking in person – closer to what it looks like in the top/right of the photo.

Note: I have no idea of the fiber content on these – they came to me third hand. I can try to find out if necessary, but they originated with my brother’s friend’s mom, and I’ve met only one of those people . So there may be a lag in getting info, if it’s even available.

There is a pretty good trick for figuring out fiber content. Burn a thread, if it smells like burning plastic, it’s synthetic. Paper is cotton. Hair is wool or silk.
If unsure, any melting of the thread ends means there’s synthetic in the blend.

Sorry I missed your message @AntBee! Yes, some of those would be great. I think all the florals
in blue and white would work, and probably the white owls. But that the dark grey with stars, and the beige with birds are probably the wrong shades for this quilt. Thank you! (BTW, do you have my new address?)

@megwell, that blue is great! I’d love a few squares if you don’t mind sending. I’ll send you my address.
