Me too! haha. It’s ok, we’re thinking about it more now and that’s step 1.

I have been collecting ideas for repurposing some vintage linens - some that have been hoarded for years and years - and think that I will be able to start cutting into them (eek!) in a few weeks! I have found a pretty good method for removing those pesky stains and have been working away on them when it’s not too smoky to hang things to dry on the line.

I’m cutting into this fabric. I only have half a metre, and I love it. I know I’m only using small bits, but I am cutting it

Look what came out of a box I was unpacking today.

I’m using the good beads today, all the lovely sparkles and these lovely little shiny pave beads. Thanks to @MistressJennie for her sun catcher class

And I’m about to use these

Ooh, so sparkly!

Mmmm, scrumptious!
My suncatcher from the class hangs over my worktable where I can see it daily.

I’m going to use this fabric today

The darker blue is actually a velvet. I don’t know the name of this type of fabric. But it’s been in my stash forever, and when I say forever, at least 10-15 years. It’s for the backing of a quilt. I was going to go and buy a different, less lovely fabric
But no!

Use the good stuff.

Mind you looking at it, I think I’ll test for colour fastness first, the quilt top has a lot of white

While that was happening I used ALL the good beads (in strict rainbow order!) for a sparkly necklace for me. Sun catchers shouldn’t get all the sparkles. And I added this darling little heart charm @Magpie sent me.

The fabric is gorgeous! I think it is called “flocked”.

You look maa-va-lous, in your hand painted t-shirt and your sparkly new necklace!

I love this craft along idea. I have some inheme/kokka fabric I got I Japan years ago. It’s been pulled out of the stash and turned into shorts and a little phone wallet.

Will post projects as soon as they done, done. I need elastic and a carabiner

Very nice, those shorts are great and it really makes fabulous use of that fabric

I used the good stuff today. I had about 1.5yds of this Alexander Henry fabric from a million years ago, this is all that’s left.

I love that fabric! I had some tiny scraps of it from a reuse store but had never seen it in it’s full glory or natural state. :grinning:

I should add, I used the awesome metallic gold crocheted trim @endymion sent me on a TM patch book cover, and it was meant to be. Even if there were a nicer project/place for this beauty to end up, it’s getting some use NOW, daggummit.

And big fancy buttons really ought to be book closures, so I had no hesitation about using this one @LeapFeetFirst made. I’m hoping I can incorporate others she gave me into a rain chain, so I’m testing one to see how it holds up out in the weather for a couple months.

Nice to see the good stuff being used…I am staring at a bin full of fat quarters from Spoonflower…I am at a loss of what to make…
