The first pair of socks I’ve knitted in years! I bought the yarn on holiday in Yorkshire so these will always remind me of a happy day (in Thirsk, for the English members).
I bought 100 gr and these are 30 gr each, which means there’s 40 grams left which may be just enough for a pair of ankle socks!
The yarn itself is very pretty and about 75% wool/25% synthetic but sometimes the strands seperated a bit while knitting.
These are sooo gorgeous! Those colors on the yarn are breathtaking. I love colorful/pretty socks, but have never tried to knit a pair. Did you use double pointed needles or circulars?
I used double pointed needles. I used to know how to knit socks on circulars and I tried but it seemed impossible, so I unravelled and started again. I haven’t knitted in a few years and you don’t forget how to knit, but I did forget details like that.
I always try to bring some crafting supplies when I go on trips. It’s a great way to meet foreign crafters (and it turns out crafters are lovely around the world!) and there are lots of happy memories later on.
Gorgeous socks! I love the colors. And, I agree, buying craft supplies on vacation is a fabulous way to commemorate a trip. Crafters are great everywhere you go.
