1960s Dresses ATCs

I had fun looking up references for these.

They’re all drawn with markers; the colour markers are Oahuhu, the black is fine tip Sharpie, and the metallic silver is a cheap one from the dollar store. I think they’re all alcohol markers, but I’ve come to realize I know very little about what to call markers/what they’re made of :joy:

I’m hiding one of the ATCs as well as the group photo, as I’ll be sending one of these to one of my ATC partners, and I don’t want to spoil the surprise.

I just realized as I was posting this that I forgot to add the black outline to one of the “1960s” in one of these cards. Oops! I’ll add it later, I think it looks better twith the outline.

What a great idea! These are lovely.

Just as a heads up, even if you hide or blur the first photo in a post, it’ll still appear in all its glory in the thumbnail image. So depending on how your swap partner views LC, they may still be able to see the hidden card via the thumbnail while it’s the first photo. (I’m on the Latest view and can see it, but I think maybe Category view doesn’t show them.)

Oooh, thanks for letting me know!

I moved the photo to the bottom, but can’t get rid of the “summary” hide arrows…

My fav is the pink and gold one. I too like research so I know what fun you had deciding on what designs to use.

Thank you for the kind words, everyone!

@endymion tomorrow is a holiday here, so this will be going in the post on Thursday

Re: the gold and pink, I took a lot of creative liberties with drawing these, lol.

I usually use reference photos like I do recipes: it’s a starting point for inspiration, and then I do my own thing.

Such a great theme and well executed!
