1 porch mat (upon which the dogs sit) using 234.1 yards of scrubby “yarn” for Challenge #1. The scrubby yarn is my most recent stash, gifted to me by my MIL. Honestly, I don’t like working with it, so I will be making several mats in order to use it up. Fortunately the pups think it’s “pawsome”.

Use all the scratchy scrubby yarn gifts to me by my MIL.
Use up more yarn stash so that what is left fits in the containers I have. I will not add containers, I will not add containers….

I really need to take a long hard look at the fingering wt bin and cut it by half at least, bec I rarely choose from there when starting a new project…
It’s a tough one, especially since I have some empty bins in the garage. We want to move to Oregon when my husband retires in (hopefully) 6-7 years. I’m determined to not have millions of craft stash boxes to pack by then. Want to whittle it down to just crafting tools/equipment if possible.
This started out as a project to use up some unwanted yarn and then I had to buy two more skeins to complete it. I completely winged the pattern and figured Rabbit would ignore it in the time honored tradition of cats but five minutes after putting it out here we are:
