Thanks! It took over three months! :scream: I’m ready for some knitting with bulkier yarn.

Beautiful!
You continue to amaze me with your creative destash projects!

Wonderful!
I’m a big fan of stripes!

Thank you! Me, too. And, it’s about as fancy as I get with knitting, lol. Though I do want to try cables at some point.

Does this count? I started this as an impulse stitch last week when I’d worked really hard. The pattern, fabric and floss are all from stash, except I used up one skein and bought a new one - it’s a colour I use relatively often (DMC 520, dark green, is used in a lot of Christmas patterns).

I did not actually use up anything except for that one colour, but I did make something entirely from stash.

it’s lovely, and I’m sure it would count as part of the destash along

also, you must be a quick stitcher! would take me much longer than a week to make that one~

I am a pretty fast stitcher, but this is also a fast stitch. It’s a Prairie Schooler design and they’re always fast to stitch because they use simple shapes, few colours and hardly any backstitch. And, I’m chronically ill and felt unwell this past week so except for working from home I’ve spent most of my time resting and stitching.

This week I’m feeling better and I have lots of stuff to do so I won’t be able to stitch a lot.

I have been stitching since childhood, so for around 25 years, and my speed has increased considerably over the years.

I’ve been interested in Prarie Schooler designs, but haven’t tried them yet. May have to do that soon!

Well, October was not a slam dunk for me. I have an incomplete1st project (why do I make shawls/wraps when I know I take forever to complete them) and a total UGH for my 2nd one.

The incomplete one: My version of The Summit Shawl

It’s going to hibernate a couple of weeks while I work on November challenges.

The UGH one: I was trying to use up more of the scrubby plastic yarn that my MIL passed on to me. It turned out so b*** ugly that it is residing in the bottom of my kitchen sink to prevent scratches from the pots and pans.

Here’s hoping for a more productive November. :crossed_fingers:

I need distraction, so Question Time!

What projects are you planning for the rest of the month? What supplies have you excited?

I’m hoping to make some inroads on a donation quilt I’ve had in progress for several years and tackle at least one bookbinding project. And maybe completely rearrange my craft room because I just feel the need to do something. Anything.

The never-ending quilt in progress. It’s further along than I remember - just the backing, quilting, and binding left. And with as unreasonably warm as it’s been (why is it 80 degrees in November? It’s usually around 45 here.) I may be able to do my spray basting outside.

I’m looking to make a pair of socks for myself, some more wash cloths for gifts and roll some beeswax candles also as gifts. All of the supplies are in-house, it’s just a matter of not getting distracted and slacking off until deadline. Lol

Your quilt is lovely!

I need to finish off a few knitted things (weave in ends and wash), then I can start on my red cardigan! It’s a quick and easy pattern, so I should be able to get it done to wear on Christmas.

I love a red sweater, I’m looking forward to seeing progress posts on that one for sure!

Do you have a pattern picked out for your socks?

I am finally butchering one of the boring cookie cutters I picked up at a thrift store ages ago to make a clay cutter in the shape of @Smmarrt’s fish stamps.

I’m crocheting a basket. After it’s done, I should probably work on Christmas presents. :gift:

My sewing table / cutting mats are covered in a big puzzle, so sewing projects will have to wait a few days until it’s done.

I’m stashbusting more yarn on a pillow cover right now, then I hope to make some new winter fingerless mitts for myself, and possibly a stashbusty sweater. Need to find the right pattern for what I’d like to do.

Ooh, I like that a lot. Yes, it was around 85 here today as well, but our normal high is in the low 70’s I think. Not as drastic as what you are dealing with.
