I am too busy today to get Sept stuff posted. I’ll get it up 1st thing tomorrow morning. So anything posted before then still counts for August! You’re good!!

:leaves: :sun_behind_large_cloud: It’s September! A transitionary time in between seasons and the start of a new school year for some of us. (My kids start tomorrow! I’m not ready!) We welcomed qualifying stitches from @jellybean, @Dooney, and @Immaculata last month, which secures our quarterly drawing for the end of Sept! Woohoo!!

Our random themes for September will be:

Theme Option

:speaking_head: BINGO is still live! One more month before we switch it up/take a break, depending on how folks are feeling.

:sewing_needle: Have fun and happy stitching!

I believe I addressed this with the Sept image…give it a try and let me know!

Hold on, I just realized I used the wrong BINGO card! Updating now. Done!

Can I get some advice? I went micro with my next piece - it’s a squirrel, it’s going to be an earring. The other ear will have an acorn. Anyway, I cannot get his eye to look right. The X looks like he’s dead, I tried an X with two strands instead of one, nope. And I tried French knots, and even the smallest one I can make looks dumb, as it sticks out. I need a different stitch or some way to make the eye round but not stick up.

Can you just do a simple backstitch or running stitch? Looks so tiny that just a hint of an eye is all you need. Just too cute!

@kittykill was instrumental in me learning how to embroider years ago…she called it a stab stitch…

Maybe a tiny satin stitch?

I think that works! I was overthinking it.

This is single strand on 22 count aida. My eyes are crossing

Ok here’s both of them. My teenage son asked me to show him how to deep clean the bathroom and I wasn’t going to waste that opportunity, so I’ll make the earring parts tomorrow!

Ugh the lighting in my bedroom is so yellow.

Couldn’t wait

They’re backwards (squirrel will be facing the acorn), they’re not centered, and I only put one of the earring parts on, but that’s sort of what they’ll look like!
