I’m on an extreme craft/stationery supply no-buy this year but I’ve already added my first item. I made it 10 days into the new year before deciding that actually I couldn’t do without my 5 year diary. Technically it’s a replacement of something I used up so it counts with my rules but I still feel like I should have planned better.
@marionberries I love the purple basket. I need to make something like that to keep all of my wips together.
I finished up my first project, but it didn’t use up much yarn - I still have a lot of the velvet yarn left!
@marionberries --love how you are using your talent for making scrappy blocks for charity! They are all wonderful!
Also, that purple basket looks nice and sturdy!
@tendstowardschaos Looks so cozy and stylish! It really is a nice pattern…you must have it memorized by now!
I’m seeing a pod of varying sizes what with having leftovers.
And it has pockets!!! I would love throw pillows with pockets. I would stuff them full of bookmarks and maybe then my kids would always have a bookmark handy… maybe.
This is so cute and fluffy
I have seen some really cute book pillows…they actually have a pocket for the book, markers, notepads, etc.
Oh my goodness that is so cute!!! And maybe I wouldn’t have to remind my kids to put their books back on the shelf several times a day??? Actually, I must have perspective. My kids read a lot. What’s a little mess when they love to read. lol
@marionberries; beautiful baskets and squares! I especially love the red squares.
@tendstowardschaos Nice hat! And congratulations on the beginning of the stash-busting
@jellybean That whale is everything! Such a good snuggle buddy.
I finished my first object of 2025, an all-stash baby! And it’s for me (fits one of this month’s prompts I think).
This used up 1+ balls of Cascade 220 in Shire (dark green), and ~1.5 balls of C220 in the lighter green color (forget the name), PLUS I needed more dark green but ran out of Shire. Lucky I had bought too much Palette yarn from Knitpicks last year and had 6 more balls in my stash that were a pretty close match. You can kind of see the difference if looking up close but I don’t care.
I did buy 2 extra balls of Palette yarn when I got nervous about having enough yarn. But I cancelled the order the next day, and I WIN because I have a small ball of yarn leftover but that’s it!
That is gorgeous! Also congrats for winning the yarn chicken game.
Love the colors and pattern.
What a win! Stash busting AND a great new item in the wardrobe!
Beautiful! Your knitting is always so stunning!
I remember when you were learning to knit…you have really tackled some major patterns…this is beautiful! Interesting how you were able to work in non-matching yarns so nicely…that is a skill! What a great 2025 finish and destash!!
Thanks everyone! I’m debating wearing it to work on Friday Assuming it dries in time and I sew in the last tails.
It’s beautiful!
This is a stunning cardigan, I love that it is from stash as well!
It’s absolutely stunning, as your knits always tend to be! And if anyone can see a very minor difference in colour, that probably just means they’re standing waayyyy to close!
My week was quite rough so I didn’t really get anything done, but instead I went through my knit fabric scraps in my lunch break and I’ve decided to turn my last few remnant pieces of knit fabric into boring plain basic camis. Now I’ve only still got one larger piece, about a yard, that I’m not sure of. I might just turn it into a long cami and call it a night dress and be done with it.
