I had wanted to do a “year in review” in photography like last year, but for various reasons, I did not take enough photos to have a good one to pick each month. This is my best try at capturing a little bit of each month’s memories… trying to focus on the joyous moments of a very difficult year.

All photos were taken with my Samsung 32 camera and not altered in any way, other than to hide my daughter’s face with the heart, and very minimal cropping on the car photo to remove a stray arm/hand, and minimal cropping on the sunflower photo to remove an antenna.

Of course there’s some forced perspective here, but she’s pretty high up regardless. She’s always been a little monkey :blush:

After looking at some of these photos with the trees and the lake, I think in 2026 I’d like to take a picture a month of the tree in the December photo. I think it will be nice to see the changes through the year.

Wow, you live in an area w breathtaking views! And the BLUE sky!!
These are all gorgeous— I really enjoyed the mix of people and landscapes…. Thanks for sharing :heart:

Great photos! I especially enjoyed January and June:) I like the concept of a photo journal. It’s still January, I think I will try it out :camera:

I’ve seen a few people print out some of their photos on sticker paper and place them in physical journals. I think I might try it!

Here’s my January photo of my “thinking spot”—same place as the December photo. I took this one a few weeks back, January 2026.
