Wow, that’s adorable, and so intricate!
How fun! It looks like there’s so much to discover. Nice job putting it all together!
It’s been fun seeing the WIPGO progress! I’m thinking about joining…
Apr WIPGO
I-3, P-4
Remember, you can keep playing your old cards or make new ones. If making new ones for this quarter, you can pick these two numbers to start yourself off!
Between filing tax returns, home renovations and family stuff, I have been keeping my mind distracted with sort of no-brainer projects:
1.Painted edges and framed a paint-by-number that my sister made and gave me. My husband wanted to hang it in his bathroom so I finally got this done.
2.Random yarn hat and scarf for charity. I have so many partial skeins that I just wanted to use them up.
3.Purple scarf for my coworker who loves all things purple. I made her another water bottle cozy as well. I am delivering them to her today as a surprise.
4.Crochet rose…in the “what do I do with it now” pile
5.Using some of my Malabrigo yarns to make new winter stuff for me. I love the texture of this hat but it was tedious doing seed stitch.
I also finally finished my thank you projects for some swaps I was unable to complete. Pictures when everyone receives.
My new WIPGO card is vaguely WIP-adjacent at best, so I’m not going to compete with it, but I wanted to post it for accountability. It’s actually a supply-go .
I got the idea from AJ’s Inspired Life on YouTube; she’s been incorporating an item-of-the-month in her daily journals. I’m not limiting this to journaling, but I like the concept for making me work with supplies I may not always think of.
I finally finished some projects!
10- birthday card & bookmarks
11- ripple baskets
12- baby blanket
13- striped crochet hats
14- cotton potholders
15- fish hats
& I made a new WIPGO board for the quarter (same as last quarter with updated projects for the few I did finish).
You can use WIPs or new projects…the incentive for this board is 50 projects, old or new!
We can also have multiple winners, so go for it!
I really like the idea of using it to use a supply. I am going to add using up my gelli print scraps and my security envelopes!
Here’s my updated WIPGO card. Everything with an icon is started, everything with a colored background is finished. If it has a frame it’s finished and has been called.
Still a long way to go
@AIMR that painting is really pretty.
My sister is really good with crafts that are more regimented. She likes paint by number, diamond dot paintings, mandala painting, straight line sewing, etc. I am the rebel in the family and color outside the lines! We balance each other nicely now and as kids!
I just realized, 2 of the letters called would work for the monster swap and finishing them would give me a WIPGO. I think the universe is trying to tell me something.
Used up what I think is the last of my stash of “baby” yarn!
Made this little vest/cover up for my littlest great niece, who is almost 17 months old.
I did a little picot stitch around the collar .
Cute!
You are being a demon yarnist at the moment! Producing so many gorgeous things
Thank you! Yarn projects are easiest for me to do while taking short breaks from my work computer. We are closing the company so I have so much to do, plus it was tax season in the USA and yarn projects keep me from stressing too much!
Now that the weather is warmer, I’ll be taking some walking breaks and I will be more in the mood to sew and quilt. I have pretty much put away my yarn except for my long term projects that I can sneak in a few boring rows or so.
This is so cute. I especially like the little bit of frill at the collar!
I finally updated my list! Here are a few of the fun projects I completed during the first quarter of the year.
Butterfly magnets for a swap:
A spring butterfly flag for that same swap:
A mini quilt for January:
That butterfly flag is just gorgeous! I love how the flowers in the wing compliment the fabric!
Thank you! I took the flower fabric with me to Joann’s and did my best to color match the floss.
