50 Projects or Bust! 2025

Wait…you hand embroidered that butterfly? WOW! Did I miss a post? I saw the cute snowmen, but that butterfly…

I made this little doodle and framed it. It was for a swap angel who likes blue cats. I am close to 50 projects!

My 11 year old great nephew loves Dragonball. Last year I found a vendor on Etsy that had some fabric so I bought what I thought was 1 yard of each. I should have read closer…it was actually 1/2 meter. I made one pillowcase for him last spring before we moved and promised him another, so here it is. Like the last one, I had to add additional fabric to make it fit a standard pillow.

Fabric up close…I have no idea what Dragonball is all about, but at least the colors are fun!

April WIPGO

G-1 & I-3

Remember that you can keep on using your old WIPGO cards if they don’t have a winner on them. Only winners have to start new cards, but everyone can fill in these two numbers with projects completed or almost done! Gives everyone a head start!

I just listed a few more projects, and I’m at 15 finishes by now. Most of those were started ages ago and only needed a little bit of work to finish. From this list, you can clearly see that I’ve not been doing well health / fatigue - wise. There are a few cards listed without a picture, because I was going to send those to people, and to my horror I realized the other day they were still in a pile in my desk drawer. I’ve also been working on a few other things for people here and I’ve not managed to finish any of that yet.

I’ve finished a second WIPGO square, my P4. I started this paint by number awhile ago. It turned out ok. I’m doing crafts this year that are challenges, but also things that are relaxing and take me out of my anxious thoughts. Kit’s and paint by numbers are great for the second option!

It’s lovely! Paint-by-number is what my sister also enjoys doing to keep her mind and hands occupied! I have two of her paintings in my house. Yours has colors that I love together…blues and oranges!

I really like this a lot. Reminds me of block prints. Very graphic.

Last two numbers for April!

W-2, P-4

Hey, only 7 numbers left before we start again! Remember, everyone except the winners can keep playing old cards!

Hopefully, we might even get a winner for getting EVERY number soon! ha

I would have a lot of winners if I would just finish up some of these! So many numbers called but still no winners for me! ha

Holiday placemats = :heavy_check_mark:, which still doesn’t give you a bingo, but you’re one closer!

Quick question - When you say winners have to start new cards, does that mean that I just need to put new projects in the spots that got me a bingo?

And if so, can I then get another bingo from the same spots?

Oh gosh–I totally missed that spot! Thanks! I am hoping to finish the Halloween and Bunny quilts so I can hit both games in the two threads! Of course, I am just playing for motivation here…not prizes!

You can put anything you might have already finished this quarter into two WIPGO spots that have already been called. If there is already a BINGO on your old card, start another and put any remaining projects from the last card. Remember that we are trying to finish WIPS, but new projects are fine as well.

AND…I haven’t forgotten the prizes! We had a renovation snafu that had me running around so I haven’t made it to the shops I wanted to go to across the river. This week!!

I have found that I tend to be more motivated by prizes, lol. I felt like I was missing out on some of the fun of the Quiltalong, until I decided to reward myself with a prize as well! I chose a prize that I wanted, but was unlikely to just buy for myself. It really helped me push at the end of the quarter and now, I am the proud owner of a (yet unused) sewing machine laser! I saw the laser in action at a quilt show and am excited to use it for HSTs!

I haven’t fully decided on my prize for this quarter, but I am debating between a fat quarter bundle of Alison Glass fabric that was just released, or maybe The Quilt Binding Bible. Okay, writing that out helped and I now know what prize I’ll be playing for .

My money is on the fabric

You are so wise! Yes, I can reward myself with a prize as well…and yes, it will probably be something sewing related.

I did that with my knitting and crochet…for everything I finished, I added something to my wish list. I just got a package of the most useful knitting and crochet tools…I also bought some hand dyed/spun yarn to start another project!

Apparently, you know me well, lol!

Ooh, I’m looking forward to seeing this yarn and what you make with it! There’s a really neat yarn store not too far from our apartment. They have such beautiful skeins of hand dyed yarn. Sometimes I like to go in and just enjoy the beauty of it all!

This is for a gorgeous light shawl. It should be here Monday!

I want the new Red Velvet Rose colorway…that is the prize for my next yarn finish…

Ooh, I like it all, but that red velvet rose -.

Here is my new WIPGO card for this quarter. Spaces W1 & W5 have projects I already completed earlier this quarter. All the other projects have been mixed up and randomly placed. Now to print this out and start marking it up!

I’ve pretty much given up on my Kimberbell card, but I am still working on the new projects card that I started last quarter.
