Prompt/Challenge Title: Privet Drive
Project Name & Page Link: Chambray Shirt Dress
Team: The Daily Prophet
Brief Description: I set aside the quilts I was working on because I absolutely had to sew some clothes. First up was this cotton chambray dress. I love how it came out and will be using this pattern again.
Dress looks great! Happy birthday!
Thank you so much!
Happy birthday dear!
@tendstowardschaos That dress is wonderful! You’re going to get so much use out of it.
Prompt/Challenge Title: Whomping Willow
Project Name & Page Link: Improvised Cat Bed
Team: Daily Prophet
Brief Description It has been ages since I crocheted anything more complicated than a granny square and it shows. Increasing for the base went fine but I kept adding stitches when crocheting plain for the sides which meant none of the math for the decreases worked and the lining is rather rippley. But it’s good enough for the cat to ignore.
@tendstowardschaos - Your dress looks great! Making your own clothes is pretty awesome.
@Trillian - The bed looks good & it even matches your cat!
What a cutie! The bed looks cozy and I think it’s been approved by the occupant.
@Trillian You mentioned Thumbelina and The Littles, Did you ever read “Miss Happiness & Miss Flower”, and the follow on, “Little Plum” by Rumer Godden? They’re a big part of fostering my love for mini things!
Prompt/Challenge Title: History of Magic Classroom
Project Name & Page Link: Bear Sweater
Team: The Quibbler
Brief Description: Winnie-the-Pooh was a favorite story of mine when I was a kid. I loved the show and the movies and having the book read to me, especially since I had a Pooh teddy bear. He’s had multiple different shirts over the years, but I lost his last one at some point. I finally made him a new one by knitting him a sweater! It’s not perfect, but I’m happy with it.
(adapted this pattern (Ravelry link) to fit him)

Team: The Daily Prophet
Brief Description: This massive jar of an unknown (except to me) quantity of sweets is decorated for the season. My son’s classmate ultimately guessed correctly and took home the prize. I hope her parents can forgive me for the excess of sugar, lol.
@jellybean That is a well loved bear! I’m glad he has a new sweater for winter.
@tendstowardschaos That jar is so festive! (Is that the correct term for Halloween? Or is the adjective reserved for the December holiday season these days?)

Project Name & Page Link: Circle Ornaments
Team: Daily Prophet
Brief Description: My mom’s friends get together in a cabin every year in early November and I’m usually invited along for craft day. This year I was in charge of finding the project and bringing supplies, so I brought along a pad of holiday scrapbook paper and a vague plan to make ornaments. We settled on this tutorial, which we mostly ignored beyond the instructions for creating the scoring template, but they still turned out pretty well.
