I can’t wait to see it when it’s finished!
I’m definitely saving money by not craft shopping, but… I had some Kohl’s cash and a 40% off coupon so I shopped online and treated myself to some new PJs and a few new shirts for when (if) school starts up again.
But, I think that’s all I’all be buying. I definitely have a stash to craft from!
Yep definitely using the stash, found a whole rubber made bin full of fabric, so I’ll be good for awhile. I did make this top today
finally figured out the ribbed style neckband.@Teachergirl Wow!! That looks so great!
@craftADDchick New jammies sounds perfect for the current state of things. I’ve been living in mine.
Nice job on the neckband!
This time at home will give me a chance to see if there is anything I can use for clothes…I am inspired by the Great British Sewing Bee to try some new things!
The color is also lovely!
You can just send that coupon right over to me .
I did online order something from joanns, but no confirmation yet its ready for pick up. Darn.
I’m in Ohio also and while usually I’m a homebody to begin with, not being able to craft and thrift shop has been a bit hard. My husband manages ad I work at a pizza place so we will still be working as restaurants are deemed essential. Me only a few hours.
I started video chatting with family, and think that will be good enough for now. Davey still hasn’t met his other gma and GPA since they live in Florida, we were just about to visit them too.
I’ll have to scroll back and catch up on all you are chatting about and crafting. I’m so glad we’re all here together. I love our new home.
Crafting wise, I’ve still been working on the toy story felties set for my Lo and his friend. And I’ve also prepped and started working on 100 atcs. Will try to get them all made by the end of quarantine!
It wasn’t Japanese curry this time, although I love that too!!
Btw Michael’s is now offering curbside pickup! They also have a huge sale including 70% off all strung beads.
@Teachergirl That top looks great!!
I made progress on my second baby sweater today! Here’s what I have so far:
So far it is much less lumpy than my first attempt! I’m also making it bigger since the practice sweater was newborn size and my friend’s baby will be a few months old by the time it’s sweater weather.
I picked up the yarn for my patchwork jumper on Saturday, started a new patch, got 3 rows in and realised I’d got the wrong hook - 1 size to big, but noticable and continuing would make sewing together really difficult, so I frogged.
Can I find the right hook? Can I fruit cake. I know I have several of that size and they have all gone MIA
Looks like it’ll have to be amazon. I would prefer to use a local shop but …
So have I- that’s why I treated myself to some new ones
Where did you find that design set for the Toy Story felties? Someone told me that Brother has exclusive rights to Disney designs, but I don’t know where to find them. Thanks! I’ll be practicing some more with my new-to-me machine and might be hitting you up for some tips
I will dm you!
I’ve had the idea for a while to turn my Jan Stitchalong into a journal, and today started.
I gave it some padding for puffiness and dimension.
That shirt is awesome @Teachergirl! I have just been saying how i want to try to make myself a shirt. Clothing is so tricky…yours looks legit!
Yesterday I went on an organizing rampage. I cleaned out the craft room and organized my most frequently used supplies in my sewing box - which now lives in the living room for easy access:
I also tackled my son’s room which was no easy feat, lol.
After I made the mug rug for my MIL, my daughter decided she wanted a pink one (she’s obsessed with pink lately). So I made her one and gave the blue/purple one to her sister. They use them for snacks, etc. They love them! Here are both together:
I also managed to finish my entry for the Fashion Challenge. Going to try to get that posted now while I have some non-work computer time.
Abbee, those mug rugs for your girls are so sweet!
I love those! I need a new one since my old one got torn up in the wash. Whoops. Will be added to my craft list.
I ended up working a big chunk of the weekend. (I’m in digital marketing - so lots of website updates for multiple pages)
I got more done on my scarf, printed out a belt pattern from Burda style, and doodled a little bit for another surface pattern.
Finally got back to studying Japanese again, my class ended on the 15th and my new class level isnt going to start on time because of all this virus nonsense.
Everyone is making such great stuff!!! Go crafters!
How lovely, I am doing social distancing at my boyfriends place, so I have limited supplies. However plenty for the next few weeks, given i of course brought some craft-stuff.
