Another new goody in a bright spring colour:) using up stash.
Oh, zipper heart! Now theres a thing I might steal!
Oh I keep forgetting about this craft along everyone has such cool stuff getting worked on! Nice and bright colors on lots of the things. And the zipper heart is cute!
I might as well post it here as well! Gudrun from GE Designs hosted a quilt along on this last Sunday for the Elvira quilt pattern. It was a fun quarantine quilt along!
I am so happy to have found this thread!!
I send my sisters, sil, brother, parents and parents in law a handmade card with a ‘kiss’.
It says ‘a kiss through the mail slot from your sis” it all rhymes in Dutch
I crocheted the kiss
That’s so fun!
Thanks! I can’t visit them for the coming 2 months, so I made this to let them know I’m thinking about them.
I wanna share a few recipes I’ve made during the last few days that were VERY tasty!
We didn’t have wild rice, so we used regular long grain rice and it was scrumptious. Instead of cooking the rice in advance, we cooked it in with the broth (added extra chicken broth), and left the coconut milk 'til the very end.
This was SO YUMMY and I want to make it again!
We made this without the almonds (I’m allergic) and replaced the goat cheese with blue cheese because that’s what we had, but this was super good.
We also made an incredible black bean soup from a great soup cookbook we have. SO GOOD!
Hi guys! I’ve only been able to pop in to Lettuce Craft briefly over the last few weeks because work and various things got the better of me - it’s really good to look through this thread now and see all the wonderful things everyone’s making - you’re all an inspiration.
New Zealand goes into full lockdown at midnight. I’ve spent the last few days getting all set up to work completely from home, and I’m hoping I’ll have quite a bit more crafty time coming up. Now, where to start?! I have too many ideas inspired by you all!
Viking pants- Like the series or the football team? Love that show.
I still want to try some more fitted patterns, but my husband is still on a partial schedule at work, so I made him a couple basic masks of the Juliet flag (international naval signal for “my ship is on fire & has dangerous cargo, please keep your distance”)
Perfect!!
Reclusive foster cat suddenly wanted to come out and play, so to keep her from eating string, I threw together an instant cat toy with the stuff at hand: rainbow i-cord, rubber-banded to the little tool with which I made the i-cord, and dangly scraps at the end. Since the i-cord/knifty knitter tool is hollow, it can be hung up on things for when I’m busy but the cat wants to bat at something.
Not much crafting time here so far, but I’m really thankful to still be working, reasonably stocked up, and enjoying Spring at home.
I’ve started making face masks. I’m still waiting on my elastic from Hobby Lobby, but, they’re otherwise done. I like this pattern for myself and my family (it comes in 4 sizes, has a filter pocket, plus, I can use some pretty small pieces for this kind), but our hospitals want a different style. Probably going to make a few more of these for friends, too, then start on the hospital ones.
Beautiful!!!
Thank you for the PSA!
Haha, a historically accurate (or as accurate as possible) reproduction of grave finds from the region/period.
I reenact and would like to introduce my man to my hobby of living history.
Although I am actually going to make hem based on the Thorsbjerg trousers. The original is a well-preserved artifact from 4th century Germany, which is way earlier than the people we call vikings, but it is very possible this style/pattern was still in use in the early middle ages.
Oh wow, so pretty! It calms the mind and body just looking at them. Lovely!
Oh I really love them!!
