I have a habit of hoarding random fabrics (I’m sure many can relate). If I see something neat, I will buy it without a project in mind. It’s just cool and fabric, so I have to have it.
That is what happened here. I found this odd fabric that had creepy victoian type families in 5"x4.5" squares and had to have it. I had no idea what I would use it for. Then, I got @MamaRhi questionnaire for the monster swap and looked at her Pinterest and knew I had to use it for her.
I decided on a trinket tray. I had just gotten some thick, double-adhesive interfacing and wanted to use it too. It all worked out perfectly. The trinket tray can be used to hold keys, jewelry, or any other trinket. I love a useful craft item.
This little tray took almost a month to get to her, so I sort of forgot some of the details. I think the sides were an inch and a half tall. I thought the creepy family was pretty funny.
I plan to make more of these for STS with other panels of the fabric.
Thanks for checking it out!
and don’t forget to join MONSTER JAM 2025 You still have time!
I freaking love this!!! I have more trinket trays than I know what to do with, but I’ll be watching the STS like a hawk coz one of these will be going up on my wall, if I have anything to say about it!
What a fun idea to use up that fabric for a focus! You said it was a double-sided adhesive interfacing - did you have to whip stitch around the edges of each piece to get it to look finished?
Super cool!
