First off I wanted to give the biggest thank you to @Manders@AIMR@MamaRhi for the incredible help! I have been given tips that not only SAVED my project, but gives me the confidence to continue working on my projects.
I was almost ready to scrap this project when I thought this style wasn’t for me, I was pretty good at drawing on what I wanted to embroider, but this took it to a whole new level for me. I’m happy I reached out and I’m very pleased with how this came out.
The floral fabric is from a scrap bin I was given and the shirt pattern is one I made from one of my favorite shirts!
I’ve been crocheting the neckline and arm holes of different clothes, and I think I really enjoy the raw look of it, but I do think the fabric will eventually tear away at some point. But I continue my journey of “unconventional sewing” and can’t wait to show y’all my next project!
Thank you, friends!
Edit: I do want to add eyelets! Going to look for some this week!!

Wow–I had no idea you were customizing your clothing! What a creative way to add your personality to what you are wearing!
It certainly looks like a goth boot now! Well done! Even without the eyelets, it is identifiable…and, you have learned new things to keep going! Excited to see your future projects! We are always happy to help you on your creative journey!
And yes! I’m making and customizing my own stuff! I’ve been recently gifted with a large bin of scrap fabrics so I’ve been playing with quite a few different things!
The crochet around the edges is sooooo cool. I love it. Your embroidery is neat too! Great shirt. I can’t wait to see more. You’re going to have an amazing custom wardrobe.
I didn’t realize the embroidery/applique was for a custom shirt, that’s really cool! It turned out wonderfully. I’m looking forward to seeing more projects from you.
