@endymion your vintage cards are cracking me up I especially love the “Jokes about plaid” one… too funny!! And the expressions on the people’s faces

@curiousfae So glad you like it! It looks like the watercolour “bled” over the acrylic over time… the wing on the left looks “washed over…” oops! I have learned my lesson, no more cheap watercolours… The ones from the $ store are… not great. But at least you can still see the majority of the butterfly and the rainbow anyway The little imperfections give it character. I’ll keep telling myself that

Today was a difficult day for various reasons, but then I decided to take a break, get out of the house and get to the lake by myself on this unseasonably hot day in Eastern Ontario. It was 28 degrees C/82.4 degrees F!
The visit to the lake was doubly special because I stopped by the mailbox on my way out and found 2 envelopes there from Lettuce Crafters! And I got to enjoy them while looking at beautiful Lake Ontario.

The photo didn’t capture the shimmer/sparkle that some of the colours have very well, so it’s even prettier in person.

I received my very happy card from @wittychild ! We finally got to swap after, what, at least 15 years of hanging around in these crafty woods?! 
And I’m so glad we did because this is the perfect pop of brightness and positivity I needed!
Photos just don’t capture the actual beauty of all of these cards! The background is nice and subtle sparkly paper.
I love it and it’s already hanging in my office. Thank you!

I’m not sure if it’s a coincidence or if you saw it on my profile, but I think you made a great choice with the sailor girl for my card–I was a “sailor girl” for 7 years, serving in the Canadian Naval Reserves from 2001-2008.
I like to joke that I sailed a desk for 7 years. I was a clerk, and thus never went on a ship

I did try to purposely select which cards I sent to which partner. I thought she also had a tiny bit of that 1940-50’s swing dance-y aesthetic. So glad it was a good choice!
