Homemade Postcard Swap
This swap is open to all skill levels — just bring your best effort and love for handmade art. Let your creativity run wild to make something small but meaningful for your fellow Lettuce Crafters.
You need to create your postcards BEFORE sending in your Questionnaire. This is not dependent on a list of partner themes etc so you can start now!
What You’ll Make:
Create one postcard in any style or medium. You will decorate, design, draw, paint, etc the frontside of a postcard. The backside will contain a short msg to your partner.
Note: Pieces must take at least 30 minutes of active creation time (not including drying or machine processes)
You can choose to send to 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 partners — just be sure to create a unique piece for each one.
Swap Timeline:
- Sign-up Deadline: September 23, 2026
- Partners Assigned: September 24, 2026
- Mail-By Deadline: September 29, 2026
Shipping Info:
- You must be willing to ship internationally.
- Keep your piece flat and lightweight — think something that fits in a regular envelope with one stamp.
- No tracking required, but if your piece takes more than 30 days to arrive, you’ll be required to remake and resend.

Size and Paper Rules
- Size: Keep it rectangular. Cards must be rectangular, at least 3.5” x 5” and no more than 4.25” x 6”. A good size is 4 inches by 6 inches (10 cm by 15 cm).
- Thickness: Use heavy paper or cardstock (at least 90 lb or 200 gsm) so it does not bend in the mail.
- No bumps: Do not add thick beads, string, or raised glue items. Flat art works best.

- Right side: Write the mailing address and place your postage stamp.
- Left side: Write your personal message.

Postcard Stamps:
For US Domestic postcards:
- you can purchase a postcard stamp for 65¢
- You can use a first class envelope stamp for 82¢
For International postcards sent from the US: - You can purchase a Global stamp for $1.75
- You can use any denomination/combo of stamps that add up to $1.75 (or more)
Swap Requirements:
- Must be a Lettuce Craft member for at least 30 days
- Have at least 15 posts on the forum
- Have read and agreed to the Swap Rules
- New swappers: 1 swap at a time
- Returning swappers: up to 5 swaps at a time
- Must be at least 16 years old
