My son asked for a Jack-o’-lantern head costume this year. I used this template and video tutorial to make him one! This was my first time working with EVA foam. It is pretty cool stuff!

I saw a photo of myself dressed up in a weird yellow fuzzy outfit for Halloween from when I was young and asked my mom about it. She said I was a banana and she made it using the old fuzzy toilet seat cover and toilet tank cozy that were popular in the 80s. As much as I appreciate the thriftiness, I’d never make anyone wear something that had adorned a toilet.
