It took me a while to get settled in my bunk, but I am finally getting comfortable. I get the best of both worlds by sleeping in a hammock but being indoors away from the elements. And I have a whole bookshelf full of books to read when I need some quiet time, which is not often, because I’m a people person… But this summer I have needed a lot more quiet time.
I’ve brought my favourit stuffed animal for when I need extra snuggles if I’m feeling lonely at night. My kiddos and hubby gave me this bunny after seeing me hug it every time we went into a local bookstore. The kids convinced my husband that the bunny should be my birthday gift that year, and I am so grateful (the real one is a darker grey; I may change it to a picture of the real thing later…)
And finally I brought my favourite glow-in-the-dark camping blanket. It’s our coziest blanket and I think the kids will forgive me for borrowing it for the summer. Maybe.
I also brought my memory book to add mementos from camp. I’ve almost used up all the pages… so I may need to make another one during Arts & Crafts club…

Oooh… I’m going to need to check this out… and probably buy it as a bday gift for my husband! The two of us very much have a non-mature sense of humour

I feel like I’ve been overly MIA this season, every time I think I have a handle on things something else pops up! I definitely do NOT have this adulting thing down. I started a ton of projects over the last few months and… none are fully done. Like, five of them probably need 20 minutes of work (putting backs on hoops, things like that). October will be my month to get things in order, right?! Right?! And this time I mean it…
Starting off strong with making you wait halfway through the first day, but PROMPTS ARE UP!

My disruption will be a good thing. My mom is gifting me a bathroom remodel to get rid of my silly jacuzzi that I never use and put in a nice stand up shower. I am beyond thrilled, but that means a lot of construction in my house. She also wants to keep my four (disabled) cats at her house during the day while it is going on. If that happens, I may end up just staying their the entire time.
It will be crazy, but soooooo worth it!

I can 100% sympathize! I go home at the end of the day and pretty much crash. I’m just sitting at my desk in my empty classroom because I made the mistake of sitting down. I need to go home and make dinner… I’m trying to sneak a tiny bit of crafting in every day, but I haven’t been very successful. I need something I don’t have to think about very much!
In these emotionally draining times, I think that anything creative that we accomplish outside of the daily “must do” tasks is a win! Even if it’s small

I can totally relate. I feel like I failed at summer camp. What sort of kid am I? Can I ask for a redo?
It’s actually still hot enough here that I’m planning on trying to catch up on some of the camp activities I missed during October.
