Project Name: Cow Diamond Painting
Project Link: -0-
Brief Description: This year, I have decided to try some kits to find some new techniques or skills. I started with Diamond Painting. This is of a cow. My cat kept trying to sit on it as I worked. I don’t think Diamond Painting is really my jam. But I am glad I tried it.

Project Name: Star Spangled Beauty mise en place
Project Link:
Brief Description: I am going to make a Star Spangled Beauty ladder quilt to celebrate the semiquincentennial. Before I start with any of the stitching, I like to prep all the fabric, which is a project all on its own. I cut the fabric (with a razor sharp blade - literally cutting edge), added fusible backing to the background fabric, cut the batting for each block, and organized the fabric by quilt block. As of right now, this quilt is not very embellished, but it soon will be!

60s pin submission: (Wikipedia)–Many elements of boho-chic became popular in the late 1960s
( What is Boho Style? A Guide to Fashion's Free-Spirited Aesthetic - Lulus.com Fashion Blog ) At its core, boho style is about creative expression, individuality, and a laid-back vibe. It pulls inspiration from a mix of sources; think vintage fashion, 1960s and 70s hippie culture, global travel, and the natural world. In clothing, this translates to flowy silhouettes, layered textures, eclectic accessories, and a fearless blend of patterns.
I just realized I was supposed to post my makes using THIS button ![]()
Dang it, if all the other new people are joining in, maybe I should finally stop being a lurker, too… I told myself after the HPC went on hiatus that I shouldn’t join because I’m bad about shaming myself for not remembering to post and crafting’s supposed to be fun. But darn if I don’t love structure, and lists, and PINS??
Pin Event, 90s: ( Safety Pin: History, Uses, and Cultural Impact - alexander-skarsgard )–The safety pin also found its way onto the runways of high fashion. In 1994, Versace debuted an iconic black dress worn by Elizabeth Hurley, which was held together by oversized gold safety pins. This single garment brought the safety pin back into the limelight as a glamorous accessory, rather than just a functional tool. [High fashion
