If it’s just a goal to not BUY any new supplies, I bet you could find stuff for free from lots of different places! Like Tapestry mentioned, the Use It or Lose It Gift-along could be worth checking out. And if you let your fellow Nerds know what you need, we might have stuff to share, like megwell just offered!
Also, not to be a pusher, if you want to NOT bingo, don’t bingo! Looking at your card, I bet you could do the T column! Mason jar - make or put a food in a jar, or paint a jar. Charms - make your own or pull one off something. Scrapbooking - use some scrapbook paper for any project. Gel pens - certainly there is at least one in your house, or go to an art supply store and use the testers real quick? And paracord - if there is not an old bracelet in your house to disassemble, I bet a neighbor or friend has one!
Heeehee, thank you al flr the supportl! It’s probably mostly just me and the few things I’m stuck on inside my brain! I’ll figure it out (or I won’t) and things will eventually work out!
(But also THANK YOU for the reminders about the giftalong! I almost forgot about that!)
Sooo… (I don’t know why my brain is stuck on just doing everything in my 80’s column)… if I made a “plastic canvas” project out of something else, but was specifically originally a trendy thing with plastic canvas in the 80’s, do you think that would that count? I don’t want to cheat and skirt the rules!

We’re heading back to Camp for the Nerd Games 2026 Summer season!
The summer season will run from July - September. Some Camp activities require sign up in order to receive specific supplies in the mail. Camp packages will ship in early June to ensure they’re received prior to the start of the season. In order for that timeline to work, now is the time to sign up and submit your requests!
I’m streamlining by using a collection form this year, instead of requiring a hundred different PMs. The form includes details about what’s available and any related requirements.
The deadline to submit your request form is SUNDAY, MAY 10, 2026 @ 11:59 PM central, so be sure to do it ASAP!

Well…jumping in kind of late and I’ve never participated in Nerd Games before so also feeling very overwhelmed but I’ll figure it out.
If I wanted to post my paper mache owl, could I? It was posted before I technically joined. If I can, more importantly, how would I? It’s very 90s but do I enter it as April - Monster Mash because it’s mostly green. Or can I just enter something for a specific decade? Sorry trying to figure it out.
Anyhow here is my bingo card.
Technically I have everything I need on hand right now to complete the top row. I mean I’d have to creative on the very first one, but I have Raffia.
As long as you made it within this NG season (so since April 1), I believe it’s fine to submit. I don’t think there are any rules about projects having to be made after you announce your intention to join the games. You just can’t post something you made in, say, January to the current season.
@megwell is correct! You can submit any projects you’ve made during the current season.
As for how to submit it - you choose! It’s normal for projects to fit multiple prompts, and part of the Nerd Games is being a little bit strategic around how to fit your projects into the season. We are open to creative interpretation of the prompts.
Potential submission options for your owl:
April - Monster Mash is a great option to submit your project. It clearly fits the prompt.
If you you want to get the one time-sensitive prompt done this month, you could submit it as the April Battle and (literally) make up a reason it represents either the 1960s or 1970s. (Making up how your projects fit prompts is part of the fun!)
If you don’t want to choose a monthly prompt at all, you can submit it as a Free Range project, which is a general/season prompt for when a project really doesn’t fit any monthly prompts, you’ve run out of other prompts, you’re in a hurry, or any other reasons you want.
If it took more than five hours, you could instead submit it as a Big Time project to maximize points. Big Times are general/season prompts that require at least five hours of crafting time.
Keep asking questions if you have them! It’s a lot at first, and actually a pretty simple system once you get into it! Also, don’t worry about messing up or making mistakes. 1. Posts are editable! 2. We check in with folks about posts, to clarify or get more information, if needed!

Pin Prize Collection The camera on this guy is very reminiscent of the Nikon F, which was a top-of-the-line field camera throughout the 1960’s (it was actually announced in 1959 that it would be available to the public). A summary of its history can be found here
