(sorry for a thousand posts/comments today; I actually have a small lull right now before August and September hit, so I have more time to think about LC…)
Brief Description:
There are two specific cafeteria items I remember everyone would get excited about when I was working as a camp counselor, and those were 1. mac’n’cheese, and 2. those little frozen Minute Maid juice pop things in paper. I just realized I think about those ice pops EVERY time I put together a little square chicken (because it’s folded/constructed the same way), so I just made a big one with a fun granny square pattern I found!
I definitely remember those triangle juice things, but it was from daycare!
I love long playlist. My Travel playlist for car trips is 6 hours. That was I can just hit shuffle and not have to worry about hearing a bunch of repeats.
I’m a Gemini and so far my horoscope has been very affirming. Your airy confidence and personable nature have everyone at camp flocking to you for insight on their projects. Trust your instincts this season and your projects will turn out even better than you pictured. Stick to it and you’ll leave camp saying, “I think I can make anything!”
I’m working on a research project that I’ve been winging a lot of and it’s coming out well!
I had to choose moon from the list because I’m more than a little obsessed with cheese.

Camp Activity: Complete by Friday, July 25
Collecting Fire Wood - You’re on stick duty! Time to head into the woods. Spend 10 minutes in nature OR gathering supplies for an upcoming project. Report below when you’re done!
I’m visiting a friend who lives near Seattle, Washington. Today we went to a cute little market at Ruston, WA. So I hung out at the Pacific Ocean today.
I hit the vote button late coz I forgot to do it at the time, so I get that this may not count ….on Wednesday 7/16 - prepping for my trip to Washington I got up early, took the truck to the shop for my husband who had worked all night the night before, then got my bags packed and ready to go. I work graveyards myself so I wanted to be ready to head to the airport when my shift ended. (Then I went back to bed so that I could work all night and fly to Seattle early the next morning…) It was a busy day!

Of course it counts! Two things - 1.) You completed it before the deadline, which is the direction. There’s no deadline for reporting. 2.) I am not tracking and have no way to know when y’all do them or hit the Yes buttons. (So, you know, hint hint to anyone who might have missed one. )
Camp Activity Collecting Fire Wood: Just finished spending an hour gathering crafting supplies to take with me into the woods for the next 5 days. Double! Kind of.

I spent the afternoon in VT visiting the Von Trapp Gardens. It’s actually a flower farm and she opens the display gardens for a few weekends. It was about a 5 hour round trip from my friend’s house in NH, which took me about 3 hours round trip to get to from my house in MA. My friend has a convertible VW Beetle, so it was plenty of fresh air and sunshine today!

Prompt: July Battle - Newbie Team: Cabin Stargazers Project Name: Rude Dog Shirt x2 Project Link: Brief Description: I got a request for another Rude Dog shirt right after I made the other ones, but kept not picking up the right size to make it. It was on my agenda for LITERALLY a year. Well, that person’s birthday was rolling around, and I finally found myself in possession of the correct size shirt, and I set out to make it. The night before, my partner came home with a request from a coworker for another one! It was perfect timing. As with all of my sublimating, it took three times as long and was a PITA! But they were both happy with their finished shirts, so worth it in the end. I’m going with Newbie because I’m still pretty new to sublimation.

I’ve never been to summer camp, other than spending two nights at girl scout camp with my daughter before she decided she doesn’t camp, so I’m very much a newbie. My idea of camping involves indoor plumbing and a bed. Thus, newbie. Just like I was new to using alcohol marker over acrylic ink in this drawing ! It’s a stretch, but I’m going for it.
