The Postcard Project - Part 3

Continuing my quest to decorate all 28 postcard blanks I recieved as a Christmas present, here is set #3. I’m behind and really need to knock out quite a few more if I’m going to finish by December. Postcards 1-3 are STS-bound. #4 is going to a friend because it looks just like her pup.

My rules for the postcards are that I have to try something different, work on a new technique, or use a different tutorial as inspiration for each.

You can see the first 2 sets here:
The Postcard Project - Pt 1
The Postcard Project - Pt 2

Postcard 1:

I’ve done a couple folkart flowers, inspired by Peggy Dean’s class on Skillshare, but wanted one for my postcards. (Watercolor & pen)

Postcard 2:

Inspired by Tamara Laporte’s Quirky Birds tutorial.
(Watercolor, posca, colored pencil, pen)

Postcard 3:

Indpired by Catherine Jennifer’s pen & ink grumpy cats class on Skillshare.
(India ink, pen, collage, white acrylic on the eyes)

Postcard 4:

Inspired by Marie-Noëlle Wurm’s brush pen class on Skillshare.
(Brush pen, white pen a teeeeeny bit on the muzzle)

These are all wonderful but I especially love the last one. The knit stitches all drawn in make it amazing. And those eyes!

It was fun to revisit your first two sets as well as admire this set!

So many techniques and styles adding to your experience and growth as an artist!

I still love the inkblot daisy from the 2nd set the best so far, but they all have their own charm!
