@lifeinpigtails claimed me for an ornament inspired by something on my Pinterest . Boy did she deliver. When I was younger, we lived in far west Texas where snow want always available, but tumbleweeds came readily enough. We would take a post and put it in the ground, then impale tumbleweeds on it before spraying then white and shoving crumpled construction paper in for the features. That was our snowman. Now I live away from the tumbleweeds, but I no longer have to do without!
I love his little cowboy boots and beat up hat with his snazzy scarf! He is so adorable hanging out with my dapper mouse and chipmunks! I might have squeed. Thanks for a happy time reminder @lifeinpigtails!
@lifeinpigtails what a creative way to make a tumbleweed snowman! I like his cowboy hat!
I live in a tumbleweed area and have often thought that a tumbleweed snowman would make for a fun Christmas card, but I’ve never actually made one. I think I’d prefer lifeinpigtails small non-prickly version over the real thing .
Yay, and thank you, I’m glad that people know what he’s supposed to be.
That’s what I was so excited about last week. I had the twine form but I kept thinking that he needs “stickers” and I had an epiphany… corn cob bedding!
I just claimed @lifeinpigtails for a balloon animal ornament and am ridiculously excited because I know exactly the technique I want to use! Here’s hoping we have enough glue…
That is a perfect story for an autobiography! Love that little guy

Hey all! Can you please do me a favor and check your stats on the front page? I am trying really hard to keep track, but this messaging system is a little tricky and when I see a message on my phone sometimes I miss it when I come back to update later on my computer.
I am keeping track of the numbers like this
total accumulative claims you have made/total claims you have sent/ total claims you sent that have been received
So, if you have made 9 claims, sent 6 and 4 have been received it will look like 9/6/4. By the end of the round all the numbers should be the same, so if you stop at 9 claims it would look like 9/9/9
Please pm and tell me
1: If everything looks ok.
2. If you have sent a claim and I have not put a next to the claim. Please tell me exactly what the claim is that you sent that I have not marked if I missed it.
3. If you have a claim that has been received that I have not put a next to.
4. If my accounting numbers do you equal yours.
Remember, as long as your accumulative claims is a difference of 3 or less from your sent claims, you have available claims you can make.
Thanks so much! You are all so awesome! This has been one fun and exciting swap and we still have a week of claims to go!
I’m really glad you like it! This was an embroidery machine design I came across a few years ago and when I saw both birds and Christmas-related themes in your list, he instantly came to mind.
He’s beautiful!! I love the earthy colors and the swirly patterns.

Thank you everyone for helping me with the housekeeping. I went back and adjusted things the way you said they should be. Please let me know if I still somehow have anything inaccurate.
I’ve decided I will stop looking at my sent/received pms on my phone, so I can do my updates immediately when I am on my computer and hopefully help myself keep track easier.
@endymion did something I was thinking of this morning and I think it would be very helpful, too.
If you put your sent/receive info in the subject line instead of in your message, then as I scroll down at messages, it will be super easy to see. Then, any tracking info or extra info can go in the message itself. You will still need to write something in the message box for it to send, but this might be easier for me.
Thanks for being so awesome, ya’ll, and thanks for all the kind comments you gave me. I appreciate you all!
So many inspiring ornaments here! I’m hoping to join you guys soon.

You’re in! You may start claiming! Since this is your first swap here on LC, you get to start with one unsent claim, but once that is sent, you can claim up to 3 unsent at a time! We’ve still got about 6 more days left in the month and many of us will be sending again soon, so hopefully we can get a few more claims in by the end of the month!
I am itching to make another claim but have promised myself I won’t until I’m 90% done with my current ornament. Only it has a 24-36 hour drying period . I must be strong.
