And another bowl, made with paper this time. So just paper mache!
Next one might be fabric and paper together!

Day 4 - little, day 5 - plain
I did the day 4 stamp in about 2 min during a break in my class yesterday, kind of wish I would have taken more time on it. Loving today’s “plain” daisy though. I’m having a lot of fun with #carvedecember so far and I’m hoping to end up with lots of fun stamps I’ll actually use at the end.
I think you will have a bunch of personal marks to incorporate into other artwork! I love the little bitty one.
I’m loving all your little stamps. I really want to carve some, too, but I think December is just not the month for me to try to take on a challenge like this, lol. For now, I’ll just be inspired by your carving!
Your stamps are fabulous! Have you tried them on fabric? They would make great fabric repeats
I signed up for the Carve December Workbook class with Julie Fei-Fan Balzer which I think is the only reason I’ve gotten this far. We made a workbook and did a bunch of prep in November, including brainstorming ideas, so on each day I already have a pretty good idea what I want to carve before I ever sit down. So far each day has only taken 20 min or so between carving and printing.
I’m hoping my carving skills will progress throughout the month (I’m sure they will) and I’ll be able to take on more intricate patterns. I will say I’m equally enjoying making and working in the workbook as much as I am the resulting stamps I’m carving. Julie’s brain works like mine and she really wants to set you up for success which I really like. I can see using the workbook format in the future if I take on another long term project.
Not yet! Block printing on fabric is on my list of things to try!
There’s a book by Lotta Jansdotter about stamping on fabric. I think it’s called “Lotta Prints”. I think I own it.
I really like your daisy
Day 6 the prompt was ponder. I traced one of the single line face drawings I did in one of the classes last year for the design. I have no idea what I’m going to do with this stamp but I kind of love it.
Stamp it on every envelope you mail
Yes! Great idea
It’s awesomely quirky!
Reminds me of Mrs. Potato head! Very cute!
Super cute! But so far day 3 is my fav.
I don’t do well keeping up with doing something every day but I was able to carve some stamps the past couple days. nothing fancy and I didn’t use any prompts. My goal was to use up some weird shaped random leftover pieces of speedball I had on hand.
I totally love it! You can surround him/her with daisies!
Oooh, some good stamps for your art journal pages!
I love that one! I had originally sketched out larger dots for that day but ended up carving it mid-Nov and using it for my Coptic journal so had to come up with a new iteration.
Love your stamps, especially the cat silhouette. Did you use one of your cats as the model?
Oooo!!! Yes! We’ll be seeing these in your work, no doubt!
Those remind me of some doodles I draw.
