No, I based off some clipart
Working on my design for today’s prompt. There’s something pleasing about this page in my workbook where I’ve been working out my ideas each day.
Day 7, the prompt was “long”. It wasn’t what I originally thought I was going to carve today but it’s what I felt like carving. I’m getting better at squaring my block and printing but StazOn is not the right ink for this paper (paper is super absorbent, prints look blotchy).
That would be super fun stamping on butcher paper to wrap mailing boxes or presents.
That is also a cool design to do the carving in reverse!
I’m so impressed that you’re sticking to the daily prompts! I start that kind of thing with great intentions and then usually tail off.
The nice thing about the prompts is you can interpret them anyway you’d like. For the class she had us do a bunch of brainstorming ideas for the prompts in November, I think without doing that part the prompts would actually stress me out.
I like the daily little stamps…
Me too…
Me three
Super cute! Spam away!
Ooh, this one is so cute! Tea/coffee love!
Me four or five or six for liking the daily stamps
Those mugs are ADORABLE
Thanks for the encouragement everyone! I didn’t want to bore you all but if you’re enjoying it, I’ll keep posting ![]()
Right?! My goal is to carve stamps I’ll actually use and I can see using this one on lots of happy mail ![]()
I’m sort of burned out on crafting so I am just enjoying browsing and writing down ideas from all of the Dec posts. I hope to start January with art projects and doing the lessons.
Your posts are just so happy!
This made my day ![]()
I feel the same - hoping my mojo will return soon.
I was feeling like I was getting into a slump then stumbled across the carve December workbook class which really energized me. For me swaps or giving myself some other time bounded goal like carve December, a CAL, or a live (virtual) class really helps to get me out of my slumps. I find the sense of community really helps me - swaps are for someone, challenges/CALs there are others doing it too, classes others are participating, etc.
There’s a 24-hour craft-along on New Years Eve. I did it last year and I’ll probably do it this year. It’s maybe $20 for the day and a week of access to the stuff you missed while you slept. There’s another option to have longer access for $40, if so remember correctly.
I’ll post the link when I get the email. There were some good classes - the one-line face drawing by Sarah Trumpp is the one I remember best. Anyway, it’s something to do instead of binge-ing some series or a bunch of bad movies. It’s hosted by Kiala Givehand.
