March Prompt: Yellow
From canary to gold, if it falls within the yellow spectrum, it will work for this prompt!
For the color prompts, the monthly color (or a varitation of that color) needs to be highlighted. This can be done in a variety of ways. For example, if the color is red, you could do a black and white quilt block with a pop of red. You could do a block made up of red scraps. You could make a mug rug that you quilt with red thread. Just have fun and make the monthly color shine!
Quarter 1 Challenge
(January 1 - March 31) Ombre:
Having colors or tones that shade into each other (MW). Create a quilt project that incorporates an ombre effect.
Goal List:
Don’t forget to submit entries as you complete items on your goal lists! If you haven’t submitted a goal list yet, the lists are quarterly, so you still have this month!

I love the purple one…such eye catching designs! I really like how you have duplicated the pattern but changed out the colors…looks like a totally different pattern…especially the first left on the second row and the third left of the third row…just love those blocks!
@marionberries this was part of the AGF Sewcialite Sampler QAL. The block is called Soaring Stars it has been designed by Kindred Quilt Co I am not sure if they sell it it was a free pattern during the QAL maybe you can reach out to the designer and see if you can get a copy?
No wonder I couldn’t figure the block out, it is insane! And wonderful. I bow to your skill in piecing it together. I do see a few ways of simplifying the solid color areas, but whew.
I have a FQ of this beautiful plum Moon Phases print that @sloth003 was kind enough to send me. I was thinking I might pick up a few of the coordinates to make my next BOM creation, so I went looking for the matching prints. When I did, I found this quilt pattern…
How beautiful is that?!?! Now I can’t decide if I want to make that for our living room, or still do some random BOM’s to create another sampler over time. In case anyone wants it, here’s the free pattern:
And two additional blocks. The first one is for a community quilt but when I reread the guidelines, I had used too much lavender. Blues/greens/purples with little or no light colors. So it will also join the star quilt. It came out too small and so I twisted it and added a bit to make it work.
And the new properly colored one. I will be embroidering spirals and starts to this before sending off. It will be in the quilt on point. Both are 12" blocks.
