@Immaculata I love those fabrics! I try to resist my spooky Halloween side, but I can’t. I adore it and all the fabrics that come with Halloween.
Aren’t those dimensions the size of a throw quilt? That should be perfect for snuggling on the couch during the cold months.
I think so? In my language we have different standard sizes and words for those things so I’m never quite sure about the right terminology. But it’s indeed a nice snuggle size and this one will be for me!
I also love Halloween fabrics, especially the witchy, spooky or vintage prints. I’m no longer resisting. Not resisting Christmas anymore either, no matter how many people think it’s tacky.
Christmas isn’t tacky! I especially love deer, snowmen, Christmas lights, and Yeti in Christmas fabrics.
I can’t resist some of the Christmas fabrics! Do I really need half a dozen Christmas quilts? No. But do I need all those Christmas fabrics? Yes, yes I do. Lol. And some of the Halloween fabrics are just as fun!
Those fabrics are so cute, @Immaculata! I love Halloween quilts.
I’m trimming blocks this week. Four quilts’ worth.
It looks like these are going to be some fun, colorful quilts!
They’re I-Spy quilts of a sort. I got the idea from you! I’m using the economy block with fussy-cut centers, bright and interesting fabrics for the second squares, and a solid-ish fabric for the outside squares. The economy squares will alternate with a big square in another print, so, hopefully, won’t be too hard on the eyes.
I marionberries , submit this as my ** June BOM entry.**
The 4 at a time flying geese worked out well, though some were quite tight for trimming. And the block went together easily. I may turn this one on point. 12.5 inch infinished.
And for fun I used the 4 at a time HST method for this block. The problem with this method is it leaves all the blocks with bias edges. Tricky, even with lots of spray starch. 8.4 inches unfinished.
Beautiful!
I love the colors/fabrics of the bottom one especially.
They are both gorgeous quilts!
I’ve loved catching up with all of your quilty accomplishments everyone
I have a few quilt WIPs going at the moment and I hope to pop in here and share some quilt top finishes this year
I’m very happy today, off on an outing with my newly found quilting group. We’re going to an exhibition, two fabric shops and stopping at bunratty castle for lunch. On the bus at the moment and I feel like a kid on a school tour
Amazing! I hope you had a great day!!!
Wow, wow, wow! Those quilts are insanity!
Your trip sounds like so much fun. Hope you had a great time, and found some amazing fabrics at the shops!
Sounds like a good time! Those quilts are fabulous.
@PrincessP, it’s good to see you back!!
@Edel, that sounds like such a fun day. Those are some amazing quilts! I love the look of that Japanese quilt. I feel like I’ve either seen it or one very similar to it at a quilt show. I hope you had a great day and got lots of fun, new fabrics!
I may have bought some fabric. A set of 7FQ, about 4 half meters, two meter cuts and a new 8.5*18.5 ruler. Actually I did well. All the fabric was reduced in price.
What a fantastic group of inspiring quilts! I love all of the little Japanese appliques!
One of the things I am so looking forward to in moving back to PA are the quilt shops and quilt shows. While the Amish are known for their particular type of quilt, they have expanded to include some of the most beautiful quilts I have seen.
Ooh, I hope you’ll share some pics with us when you go see them!
