I added a goal to mine. My cats are using my ottoman as a scratching post and have ripped through some of the fabric. I need to make a cover for it.
That came out so cute! I want to make one now
It was a lot easier than i thought, and its forgiving to mistakes. You should try it!

It is the 8th, and I have yet to start cutting my Halloween quilt. I have plans for the next two weekends. I don’t see myself finishing it in time, but I will still enjoy it after Halloween. I plan on getting it done by 2025!
Congrats @Mvanrh11!
@gozer, my Halloween quilt was about 3 years in the making. It’s fine. You’ll have the rest of your life to love it. And bring it out too soon each year.
The colors aren’t Halloweenie, so it will be fine. It’s mainly peach, light blue, and black. I pulled the pattern out last night to look at, and I understand it better than I did last year when I got it. I’m still not 100% on it, but I think once I start, it will work out. I have plans until Sunday, so hopefully, I can start cutting then. I have all the fabric in a tote on my kitchen table as a reminder.
Opinion time: Do you prefer cotton or polyester quilt tags? I was thinking of getting a few. Originally I wanted cotton, but they say they will fade with washing. Are the polyester okay?
I finished my small Swap Item from my Fourth Quarter Goals: it was a patchworked scarf. I went slow and got all the lines to match up. I know that may be simple to everyone here, but it was a lot for me! Ha!
Those lines look so crisp as a result! I like your addition of the scarf loop. This looks like it’ll be a warm and cozy wear!
I haven’t quilted in a while, but I have some projects planned! I even pulled out my free motion quilting foot to try it out - it works well, but I’ll have to play with the tension a bit.
Now I just need to remember how to get my sewing machine with all the fancy stitches out of its cabinet so I can make sure it works.

@MistressJennie - Have you seen this paper pieced quilt ghost pattern? It’s so cute!
G’ah! I was looking through patterns linked on Fandom in Stitches for about 2 weeks straight, and NEVER saw this one! So. Freakin’. CUTE.
I’ve had several small things on my quilting To Do List that I normally could have finished in a day or two. I even wrote them all out, and organized them into a Plan of Attack list, from highest to lowest priority. I figured I’d be posting them all last week. But then I got called into working for the Krannert Center’s costume shop. They sent me home with 9 garments that needed alterations and 5 mini-builds (accessories like collars), and just 4 days to do it all. I got it all sent back to the shop, and finally had a nap time today to finish the first item. Binding this otherwise completed quilt!
Now to go onto the next small item on the list… Finishing the top for my final HP donation quilt of the pile!
This has got me wondering how many quilts/quilted projects I’ve completed this year…
Guys, I had no idea I had finished this many projects this year. Thank you @AudiobookLover for keeping me on task with this wonderful Craftalong!
Wowzers! I’m speechless.
I’ve been doing bedroom makeover and since my part is at a standstill until 1) the electrician rewires all the outlets, 2) the new header in the crawlspace is done and built-in dressers installed, 3) the guest bedroom is cleaned (was a foster kitten room, yay, all 3 sweeties got adopted last weekend) and new bed is set up so we can move in as I paint…i am making pillows.
Pillows for the guest room and for the window seat. 13 so far. All from repurposed pillows or left over from previous pillow orders. And I am using stash to accomplish this. And a bunch of old sheets for linings because purchased decorative pillows often do not have a lining, just stuffing. I had the window seat pillows and thrifted two outdoor chaise lounge cushions that I’ve ripped apart and resized for the back and sides. All in natural linen. the other pillows are all stash and thrifted bits of fabric.
The guest room ones are shams and I have a set of shams that I can swap out to match the duvet when it’s a guest room.
It’s quilting right? figuring out how to best use fabric remnants, get the most out of yardage, and fussy cut.
