Renn Faire Costume

My costume is finally done. There were a lot of accessories made separately, but the big pieces were the apron and backpack.

The apron is an A-line wrap apron from this Etsy pattern: LINK
Then I finished the edges with binding and free handed some crooked pockets of different sizes.

The basket backpack is mostly from this Instructables tutorial: LINK
Then I added a lid by crocheting an oval and embedding a wire edge (and an owlbear seatbelt).

Finally, I cut out letters from felt and glued them onto some star print leather. The sign is detachable in case I ever want to use the pack for something else.

Then I added a ton of accessories and filled the pockets with magic items to give away (spellbooks and geodes and some other random goodies). I wore it to faire today and it was a big hit! I rehomed a bunch of goodies which was super fun.

What a fun costume to get people to engage with you! Love all the pockets filled with fun items. I bet everyone was delighted to get a little something!

The backpack looks quite sturdy. Nice that you made it adjustable to other uses.
