Shark Blood Drop (with Pattern)

Use him when you go to donate blood! He fits perfectly in your hand and can be used instead of the rubber balls wrapped in paper towels they give you to squeeze.

Suggested Materials:
F hook (3.75 mm) (you want a very tight stitch)
Worsted Weight yarn

Gauge doesn’t really matter, you can make it larger or smaller based on your desired stuffie size by varying both the yarn thickness and/or hook size.

Instructions:
Join all rounds with a slip stitch and a ch1.
sc = single crochet
inc = increase (work 2 sc in the next stitch from previous round)
dec = decrease (sc two stitches from previous round together)

This follows the standard Bob the Blood drop pattern, except after the first round it is worked in two halves and then sewn up the sides together. This was the best way I could think of to keep the sides of the color change very straight.

Side 1: Grey

Row 1: SC 4 in magic Ring (or, ch 2 and sc 4 in second ch from hook).

Row 2: SC in next two st (as if you’re going to be working a continuous spiral, but…), ch 1, turn.

Row 4 : sc, inc, sc, ch 1, turn (4)

Hold one white and one grey together, crochet around the two non-chained on edges with grey, working 3 stitches into the tip of the fin). Leave a long tail for sewing to body.
