Question of the week:

I currently have 3 trees. One has a conglomeration of ornaments. One has snow babies my dh and kids have been given. One has official White House ornaments my in-laws have given us each year since we married. (His dad is retired Air Force.)
Other than that, I guess it just depends.
Fun fact: I hang up our received Christmas cards. The ones from last year are still up. Haha! (I don’t want the sad blank space.)
I make things even. I have a lot of things in different colors.
I don’t have many duplicate ornaments. I like animals or buildings or other representations, rather than globes or bows or something easily replicated.
Sometimes I pick a theme for my tree, like travel, or birds, or blue. But I got rid of a lot of ornaments when I moved five years ago, so nearly all the remainder fit on the tree.
Maybe that will change this year, since I’m getting so many swap ornies!
I love Sopworth! Snoopy flies one even if it looks like a doghouse. Beautiful visual pun! ![]()
We have some duplicates inside, but they tend to get personalized if they stick around for long. Favorite stickers or little hints at happy memories. The one rule is that any tree, no matter the size must be watched over by the Doctor or a companion. It is a silly rule, but when he was younger, Goose saw the Doctor Who Christmas Special and didn’t want our trees to attack so it is now tradition.
Outside, it is whatever still works after being in storage.
I hang ours on a string over a doorway. Used the same string for various cards through the year, and now for Halloween decor.
It is only completely empty between New Years and Valentines Day.
That is hillarious and sensible.
I thought so. We’ve even taken a TARDIS with us when we are celebrating with family. We sneak it in their tree when we arrive and sneak it back out when we leave. It is hilarious if they notice during the visit.
My ornaments are complete! They are made of leather type clay.
I will send in my questionnaire soon!
They look so happy!
Oooh, those are super cool!
Love the layered colors and cheerful mein!
Our tree ornaments are mostly all different, although we do have a few sets (a set of 5 or 6 fancy glass ones, and some vintage midcentury “Shiny Brite” type geometric or filigree or UFO-shaped plastic ornaments). We do have 7 large jingle bells that hang in our windows.
Oh, those are adorable!
Adorable snow yeti
Hey, everyone! @LovelyMiss has changed her ornament offering. She found out that the scrappy trees she originally made, were too thick to be sent as a regular letter. So she made six more ornaments so she could still offer international shipping. Here is her new offering—aren’t they adorable?
I’m working on my ornaments today!
So sweet! Can I call dibs yet???
Thank you so much for accomodating my switch! I like these better, so while it was a bit annoying the trees were literally a mm too thick, I’m kinda glad it necessitated me going back to the drawing board. ![]()
