Ooo! Great colors!
I’d love to see them! Is it a solid yarn or patterned? I’m not familiar with Drops yarns, even if I have heard of the brand.
Drops is also one of my favorites! I love how they always give you options in a chart on their patterns.
@tendstowardschaos What fun colors!
After the new year, I hope to get back into making socks…or maybe finishing the six pairs that just have one sock…

Ohhhh🤩
How fun are those! They’re so perfectly Autumnal.
Very nice!
Gorgeous colorway!
Really nice! I love the solid yarn as well, it really adds something.
Thanks! I really like how it turned out. The pink is so bright and cheerful. It really speaks to my inner child (who grew up in the 80s with everything neon).
Let’s all just ignore the fact that my one year anniversary with that single sockalong sock is coming up later this month, 'kay? You’ll not find me proposing any new ones this year haha
I’ve finished my socks, minus the washing/blocking. I went to measure my older son’s feet, and realized they’re about the same as mine. He tried on my socks, and they fit! He’ll be twelve in a couple months… Where did the time go?
I cast on some socks for the Garage Sale, but I’ve had several thread breaks so I suppose I’ll just keep these for myself just in case the thread breaks in more places after a few wears.
Years and years ago we lived in a mice-infested rental, and I thought that after they got into my yarn, I got rid of everything that was damaged. Maybe this is one yarn I forgot to get rid of? Or maybe the yarn is just poor quality and it doesn’t have anything to do with mice (it doesn’t smell like mice or anything like that).

I had a bit more yarn of that same brand, I think I bought them together, so I just cast on a second sock! I like this colourway so if it’s a fail again, at least I’ll have another pair of socks I’m on a trip next week so at least I’ll be able to keep my hands busy during the journey, and where we’re going, they sell my favourite brand of sock yarn …
After two failed pairs for the garage sale, I just finished knitting the third pair:
Kitchener stitching them now and then they can be sent in just in time! Yarn is West Yorkshire Spinners Signature in Passionfruit Cooler.
It pains me to say this, but I frogged the too large sock from the craftalong. I knew I was never going to make the second one. BUT, the good news is that I found a simple sock pattern that I have used before so I will be casting one soon. The purple yarn is too pretty to just let sit.
@Immaculata I have learned a lesson from you that a nice yarn with a simple pattern can make sock making so much more fun for me…your socks are so pretty! I love this combo!
It’s a shame you had to frog the sock, but you’re never going to wear a sock that’s too big. The sock needs to fit, and it needs to be done! You’re not going to ever make the second sock if the pattern’s no fun, and if it doesn’t fit you’re not going to wear it.
The colours in my picture are a bit off, today is an overcast day, it’s this yarn: https://www.woolwarehouse.co.uk/west-yorkshire-spinners-signature-4-ply-passion-fruit-cooler-811-100g
What I also like about yarns like these, is that they can easily be combined with solids, so the leftover bits never stay in my stash for long. I used up about half of this ball, so I might be able to get another pair out of it without issue. But if I don’t I’ve got a leftover bit of solid purple in my stash for the toe and no one would even know it wasn’t by design.
